Glenn Beck may hate socialism and communism, but he showed he shares a materialistic worldview with Marx, Engels and Saul Alinksy in a recent conversation with Bill O'Reilly.

Beck is also a Mormon. Aren’t Mormons against same sex marriage? Drug legalization? How can someone be a practicing Mormon and a Libertarian? I don’t get it.
I don’t know enough about Mormons to be able to answer your question.
However he reconciles those things within his life is his business.
I've been burned too many times by WND’s version of “journalism”.
Everything they say should be verified by other sources. At a minimum, they are disingenuous.
"...though it seems clear he is not an opponent..."
If you read the whole interview you find out that Beck does oppose it but thinks there are bigger fish to fry at the move.
That is absolute nonsense and is not true. I've been following Glenn Beck for years and I know that is *not* an accurate reflection on what Glenn thinks and believes of marriage and family.
It is just a bunch of people that are trying to over analyze Glenn's response and try to put meaning into it that really isn't there.
I do follow WND, and will continue to do so. I also recognize that, like everyone else, they are *not* the final word on things and are not always right, which applies to Glenn as well. I am just going to take it for what it is, another interesting perspective on what people think Glenn said.
If you want to know what Glenn does believe, you need to *watch* and *listen* to him, not read about him. Get it from the source.
WND is to the right as HuffPo is to the left. Half truths based on out of context hypebole.
Holy Moose Poop, I didn't know you were related to Beck.
I think it's interesting that Beck didn't utter a word about the courts being involved other than, "why are they involved". The precedents this issue creates are very important longer term whether you only care about you money and your wallet or about the culture.
I didn't say I thought Beck should be taken out and shot, I said his choice of how to respond was interesting and it is. The author of the article is correct, Beck is showing a totally materialist streak and saying in the interview that different folks cover different aspects of things is either a dodge on Becks' part, symptom of his shallow thinking on this issue, or an example of Beck not being really interested in talking to BOR and so not caring how he comes across.

Was it Rush that had true confessions on his program one time, conservatives could call in and repent of their wandering ways. Or maybe Savage, he said that he doesn’t agree with conservatives in everything, I agree. I tend to be more liberal on environmental issues, however, these kooks these days are way way over the edge on this green junk.
Mormons ... don't let your babies grow up to be Libertarians ....
Enough people thought Perot was a conservative to elect Bill Clinton.
Your intellect is dizzying. Kinda makes my head hurt.
Again, he responded to the question, not the greater issue.
I went ahead and watched the interview instead of reading the transcript.
Beck was careful not to take a position on the homosexual judge’s ruling on the Proposition 8 case. It seems Beck’s trying to separate what he considers the “big picture” from various parts of it. All of these “social” issues are important—it’s why our country is “burning.” But when it comes down to bare bones, all issues are “social issues.”
CHORUS
You’re headache is interesting, too.

I stopped reading Farah when he wrote that men that commit adultry should be executed. I rate that right up there with the ROPS... It’s a conservative site run by a NUT.
Don’t ask for a link, it’s bee a couple of years, but I bet if you spend time searching his site, you’ll find it.
Farah is a nut job. End of story.
Wow, that was fast! I (and others?) would love the lyrics for an entire song.
Yep, I definitely understand that, Deb, and I’ll say outright that Mr. beck has angered me before. But I also must consider that very few people on this earth agree with each other on 100.00% of issues.
Glenn has said some things that I cannot agree with, such as what he said to O’Reilly regarding homosexual marriage. My position on the matter is substantially harsher than Glenn’s.
However, I also value Glenn’s honesty so much. I have a ton of respect for this gentleman and what he is trying to do for our country. I would not consider throwing the baby out with the bathwater in this case, I believe doing so would be foolhardy. I say let’s work together on those things we agree upon and can affect change upon, and let’s agree to disagree on this things that we cannot come together on.
