Republican challenger Rick Berg remains slightly ahead of incumbent Democratic Congressman Earl Pomeroy in the race for North Dakota’s only U.S. House seat.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely North Dakota voters shows Berg with 53% support, his best showing in the contest to date, while Pomeroy picks up 44% of the vote. One percent (1%) favor some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

Berg, a businessman and state legislator, has remained consistently ahead throughout 2010. His support has ranged from a low of 46% to a high of 53%. For Pomeroy, support has stayed between 40% and 46%. Last month, the race was the closest it’s been all year.

Rick Berg has led Earl Pomeroy for several months now, often polling over 50%. This race looks promising.

Having somehow captured the congressional/senate seats of North and South Dakota, by running candidates that pretend to be normal until elected, has been huge boost to the statist agenda. Hopefully, that will end for good this election.

If this was a democrat win, 53 to 44, they would consider it a blowout. So, in my opinion, this was a blow out. First of many to come.

Finally! It will be great to see Pomeroy get the boot! And add to this, Byron Dorgan’s retirement - the people of North Dakota might finally elect someone that actually represents them!

“This race looks promising.”

“Promising”? It looks in the bag. I’m not saying that Pomeroy can’t possibly win, but Berg is a HUGE favorite right now. Berg has been up by comfortable margins for months now, there are almost no undecideds, and Hoeven is going to get 75% at the top of the ballot. The only question in my mind is whether Berg wins by 10% or 15%.

Never forget that Pomeroy voted for Obamacare. It’s payback time.

Pomeroy must not be bringing home the bacon like he has, or ND would never turn on him otherwise.

By forcing Earl to vote for Obamacare, Nancy killed his career.

“Slightly ahead” means it’s within stealing margin for Pomeroy. Be on the look-out.

Pomeroy had the misguided impression that he could be Obama’s puppet and keep his job.

Bye, bye Earl!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pomeroy has a megabucks lobbying job lined up. Got tired of screwing the taxpayers, decided to cash in.

up by 9 with a 4.5% margin of error is outside the MOE. That is a SAFE win.
