Bin Laden 'Far Buried' in Remote Region: Petraeus
AFP ^ | 8/16/2010

General David Petraeus said Sunday Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is "far buried" in the remote mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan but capturing the "iconic figure" remains a key task.

"I don't think anyone knows where Osama bin Laden is," the head of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan told NBC television's "Meet the Press" when asked about the Al-Qaeda leader's whereabouts.

"The fact that it took him four weeks to get a congratulatory message out or a message of condolence... indicates literally how far buried he is probably in the very, very most remote and mountainous region."

He is dead. He has been dead for years , but it works for the Government not to admit it.

If Bin Laden was a type I diabetic needing dialysis back in 2001 I can’t imagine that he could possibly be alive today living in remote areas for 9 years without much medical treatment and daily dialysis.

My friend’s daughter in law is a dialysis nurse and says there are only one or two companies that make the necessary equipment for dialysis machines. If they wanted to find Bin Laden all they would have to do is track the shipments to that part of the world. Bin Laden is probably long gone. Good riddance.

If he is alive, maybe 0bama will invite him to attend the al-Osama Mosque and Victory Center when construction is complete at Ground Zero.

Muslim brothers and all, you know...

If he’s alive, I think he’d be in Iran. Sheltering bin Laden would be just the sort of thing the Iranian top dogs would enjoy doing.

Or in a safe house in Pakistan or Saudi.

I agree with you! He has been died since the B-2 Bombers attacked the Tora Bora Mountains in October of 2001. His suffering in h$ll will be legendary along with his master, mohammad.
