Well, I guess it's only fair. I mean, look how many things the Dems and the media - but I repeat myself - refused to use against Bush. Let's make a list - there was...uh...OK, it's a kind of short list, isn't it?

The problem isn't "misinformation" about the mosque, it's that the information out there is perfectly accurate, and it's outrageous. Halperin wants us all to close our eyes and pretend that something else is going on, something he's more comfortable with, comfortable enough, at least, to use as a club of shame against his political opponents.

Sorry, Mark, buddy, but it isn't happening. Remember "Bush lied, people died"? Thought you might. Tying the mosque around 0bama's neck like a dead albatross is not only justified, it's perfectly fair politics. You made the rules, pal.

But what is happening now — the misinformation about the center and its supporters; the open declarations of war on Islam............is not worth whatever political gain your party might achieve.

BULLS**T

the open declarations of war on Islam

As Roosevelt said to the nation after Pearl Harbor, "...a state of war has existed..."

Islam declared war on us long ago, and launched it on innocent civilians. Only a stupid idiot would pretend there is peace, when there is no peace, whether you like it or not, or will admit it or not.

There are a handful of good reasons to oppose allowing the Islamic center to be built so close to Ground Zero, particularly the family opposition and the availability of other, less raw locations. But what is happening now -- the misinformation about the center and its supporters; the open declarations of war on Islam on talk radio, the Internet and other forums; the painful divisions propelled by all the overheated rhetoric -- is not worth whatever political gain your party might achieve.
IOW, Halperin proves once again that he's just a baldfaced liar. Thanks Justaham.

Halperin is, as you noted, a bald faced liar. But, what needs further explanation is that he is admitting here that he is in opposition to the Republican Party and America. Before it's always been that he's this storied objective journalist. Wrong.

Additionally, what Halperin fails to note is that what is happening with the mosque near ground zero issue was caused by the media. Because the media - led by the JournOlista's - never gave the American public an opportunity to properly vent their anger and grieve their loss they are venting it now. 12 hours after the aircraft hit the WTC the JournOlista's were in full blown apologia mode to cover for the terrorists and their sympathizers lest some one say "Hey, that's my husband you see in that photo jumping to his death. My husband who never harmed anyone and is now leaving our two children fatherless plummeted over 1,200 feet to his death to avoid being roasted alive." These images, stories, vignettes were suppressed in a black hole of propaganda by ignoring that these stories were out there and needed to be reported. Mark Halperin led the way in suppressing those stories like the Dem propagandist he is.

Halperin deserves the scorn he is generating for his inopportune comments. Ssssspit!

Regards,

TS

An open declaration of war on Islam would at least define the conflict correctly,

and instead of letting our enemy stab us in the back at every turn, we’d know who the enemy actually was.

Q: What do you call the person that doesn’t know he’s in a fight?
A: The loser.
