The lunar calendar that Muslims follow for religious holidays is creating a potential for misunderstandings or worse in a year when American Muslims are already confronting a spike in assaults on their faith and protests against new mosques.
Eid al-Fitr, a joyous holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, this year falls around Sept. 11. Muslim leaders fear that their gatherings for prayer and festivities could be misinterpreted by those unfamiliar with Islam as a celebration of the 2001 terrorist strikes.
The Muslim Public Affairs Council, an advocacy group based in Los Angeles, is contacting law enforcement and the Justice Department civil rights division to alert them to the overlap.
The Islamic Circle of North America, which organizes Muslim Family Days at the Six Flags amusement parks in several cities around Eid al-Fitr, this year planned nothing for Saturday, Sept. 11, because of the anniversary. A founder of Muslim Family Day, Tariq Amanullah, worked at the World Trade Center and was killed in the attacks.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington-based civil rights group, is urging mosques to review the group's security guidelines, including clearing brush where people could hide and installing surveillance cameras.

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a religion, it is it’s own government, its judicial...in sharia, and its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. It’s rules are to consume whatever government is wherever it goes. To supplant and replace.
The sooner America learns this , the better!
Islam is nothing more than a violent gang of medieval cretins. They make demands upon the world to adhere to their cult, while terrorizing the world with unforgivable sins. Muslims today are responsible for horrific crimes against humanity.
So no Obama, we do not accept muslims can build a monument to gloat over their 911 “victory” at ground zero. Ground zero is hallowed ground. These murderers need to move on. Far far away. Back to their homeland is a great idea. We cannot live amongst them. We do not want to live amongst them. Our ideals, and theirs’, are incompatible.
Our Constitution must be amended to prohibit medieval terrorizing cultists from ever establishing recruiting stations on our soil. The Cardoba House will be such a station. Here they will gloat, and show terror recruits how they too can be “martyrs” like those of 911. To meet allah in heaven with all those virgins awaiting.

Back during Operation Desert Shield/Storm, wasn’t Ramadan in December or January? Didn’t we wait until it ended before attacking?
