Coulter to Keynote for Homosexualist GOPride

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- GOProud, which bills itself as the "only national organization representing gay conservatives," has announced that well-known conservative author Ann Coulter is headlining their first annual "Homocon."

The announcement shocked both advocates of traditional family values and homosexualist advocates of "gay rights," who have previously attacked Coulter for her supposedly homophobic language and beliefs.

Christopher Barron, Chairman of the Board of GOProud, said he could think of no "conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’--Ann Coulter." Judy Garland is an icon among homosexuals.

“The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests," said Barron. "Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left."

The GOProud "party" will be taking place Saturday, September 25, in New York City. Sponsorships of the event, which include two tickets, are available for $2500, while general admission tickets go on sale August 20th for $250.

Peter La Barbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) said that Coulter should reconsider her appearance at the event. "As a fan of Ann Coulter, it pains me to see her cave in to political correctness and lend credibility to the phony homosexual "conservatives" over at GOProud," he stated.

He said that half of GOProud's top 10 federal priorities center on advancing homosexuality. The federal legislative priorities that GOProud endorses include repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on homosexuals serving in the military, "defending" the Constitution by "opposing any anti-gay federal marriage amendment," and changing the tax code in a way that "will provide equity for gays and lesbians."

With that Adam’s apple and testosterone overdose, I wouldn’t be surprised if ‘she’ has personal reasons for giving her support.

Is she there to save their soles

Their soles? No, I don't think so. They already wear comfortable shoes.

“I couldn't care less what they do in the privacy of their own home, and I suspect Ann couldn't either.

Conservatism is based on a value system. It does matter what people do in private to some extent.
I'm sure that people wouldn't be ok if people were having sex with children in the privacy of their bedrooms.

-Is Ann going to “come out” at this event?-

I have never liked Ann. She’s so snooty, and the way she
speaks is so fake it’s damned irritating. She’s a snobby elitist. I also don’t see what others find attractive about her.

That said, I’ve had the impression that she’s a tranny.
Have you noticed the Adam’s Apple?

While there may actually be homosexuals who are conservative fiscally, there are none who are socially conservative--it's a contradiction in terms.

And the sad fact is, for every 1 "out and proud" homosexual who comes into the GOP, 10 social conservatives will leave.

"Conservatism is based on a value system. It does matter what people do in private to some extent."

Right, but to win elections, you actually need more than conservatives. Republicans need moderates. Don't believe me, take a look at who runs the country right now; Extreme lefists who were elected in large part by moderates voting Democrat. How has that turned out?

"I'm sure that people wouldn't be ok if people were having sex with children in the privacy of their bedrooms."

Yep, there it is. There's always one moron in the crowd who compares what two CONSENTING ADULTS do in their own bedroom, to child rape - you know, because that's just the logical extension.

I'm a small government conservative. I don't what the government poking their nose into my home, or anyone else's home.

I have no idea what kinds of numbers this GOPproud represents. In fact, I hadn't even heard of this group until this week when the Coulter story broke. But, if they want to work to elect Republicans to office, more power to them. With a 50-seat deficit in the House, and a 9-seat deficit in the Senate, Republicans could use all the help that they can get.

I am an evil conservative pastor who preaches against the sin of homosexuality. I will never back down from my stance that marriage is between one man and one woman, and homosexuality is abominable to the LORD (though forgivable when one repents and believes upon our only hope for salvation, Jesus Christ).

What men like Peter La Barbera fail to understand is that one can be conservative without being religious. It is hard for me to understand, personally, how one can come to the the conclusion of absolute truth apart from the LORD - I see it as an "It's true because I happen to believe it mentality" - but still, they fall on the right side of the issues, and I have to give them credit for that.

If a homosexual wants to consider himself a conservative, I couldn't care less as long as he stays in line with conservative principles such as individual liberty, free markets, free enterprise, a strong national defense, and limited government.

Such a person might even believe in the immense worth of traditional family values for society and not try to raise a child in their environment or violate our Constitutional rights (freedom of religion) in order to soothe their conscience.

If a homosexual can keep it private, then we're partners in a common cause. If they have the same agenda as the Left, then we're enemies, simple as that.

Ann has made the decision that these are partners, not enemies - plus, I'm sure they're paying her well. She at least deserves to have a chance to deliver the speech before being crucified.

Calling people phonies is a little much, until they attempt to force their lifestyle upon me or demand that I advocate their position instead of tolerate their person.

I agree. I really don't care what they do sexually. I'm sure I would be shocked at some heterosexual fetishes. However, I expect them to keep it in the bedroom, where it belongs. I am a strong believer of individual rights. However, your rights end when my rights begin. I don't want their agenda pushed on me or my kids.

And wasn’t Coulter a romneybot when all was said and done last election? Do I recall that correctly?

I’m disappointed in her.

Like Limbaugh and Gretchen Carlson, this appears to be Coulter waving the flag of surrender in terms of saving the culture.

The problem is they have trouble with finding a soundbite the wins the argument about gays and the culture wars. Here’s some help, Ann.

“It’s unnatural. Boys and girls have different equipment reasons that align with nature.”
