Coulter to Keynote for Homosexualist GOPride

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- GOProud, which bills itself as the "only national organization representing gay conservatives," has announced that well-known conservative author Ann Coulter is headlining their first annual "Homocon."

The announcement shocked both advocates of traditional family values and homosexualist advocates of "gay rights," who have previously attacked Coulter for her supposedly homophobic language and beliefs.

Christopher Barron, Chairman of the Board of GOProud, said he could think of no "conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’--Ann Coulter." Judy Garland is an icon among homosexuals.

“The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests," said Barron. "Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left."

The GOProud "party" will be taking place Saturday, September 25, in New York City. Sponsorships of the event, which include two tickets, are available for $2500, while general admission tickets go on sale August 20th for $250.

Peter La Barbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) said that Coulter should reconsider her appearance at the event. "As a fan of Ann Coulter, it pains me to see her cave in to political correctness and lend credibility to the phony homosexual "conservatives" over at GOProud," he stated.

He said that half of GOProud's top 10 federal priorities center on advancing homosexuality. The federal legislative priorities that GOProud endorses include repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on homosexuals serving in the military, "defending" the Constitution by "opposing any anti-gay federal marriage amendment," and changing the tax code in a way that "will provide equity for gays and lesbians."

"It becomes a crime when you want to make “people who lie to their mothers” as a category for civil rights victims."

It becomes a "crime"? Sorry, you're going to have to do a better job than that. Your post makes absolutely no sense.

The government is in the crime business, not the sin business. You think homosexuality is a sin. That's fine. The 1st Amendment gives you protection to think and say what you wish - just like it gives protection to children to lie to their mothers (so long as they aren't under oath, and their mother is a federal agent) and gives protection to people to assemble with whomever they choose.

It's not the government's prerogative to punish the child for lying to his mother, and it shouldn't be the prerogative of the government to inspect people's bedrooms. Perhaps you think it should be. We differ.

I want to live in a free country - where people are free to choose to either sin or not to sin, and to define or believe what "sin" actually is. "Congress shall make no law..." seems pretty clear to me.

People who wish to force their Biblical or other religious beliefs on others, are just Marxists carrying a bible. No thanks.

The GOProud homosexuals are NOT conservative, they are homosexual agenda pushers trying to steer the Republican party to the left and push their big gov homo-nazi agenda. That’s it in a nutshell.

**************************

Tell me about it. We have two "Republican" candidates for the next election that are pro-homosexual agenda here in Massachusetts. One is a homosexual, actually.

I remember Churchill deep in the early war being castigated for making alliances with Stalin (with the Soviets his bitter enenmies in the past) against Germany when Hitler moved east, he stated:
If Hitler invaded Hell, I would make at least a favourable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.
Ann is involved and out front. Like you, she is not one to stay back trying to look pure for political posturing. She has guts.

I saw a saying once: "The love that dare not speak it's name now won't shut the He**l up!". If they'd keep it in their bedroom instead of in our faces no one would CARE what they do. No one should get special rights for behavior let alone demand them.

Jesus spoke the truth to sinners to help them change.

What’s Ann going to say? Until she says it, we won’t know.

Will she approve of the GOProud’s legislative agenda I posted above, from their website? It’s not conservative other than the right to bear arms, it’s all unconstitutional homosexual agenda crap.

If she doesn’t say anything about that, she’s on the wrong side.

Jesus didn’t hang out with sinners because they paid him, for another thing.

If they were actual conservatives, they wouldn’t have their own special sexual perverts’ gun group. They’d join one of the existing ones.

"People who wish to force their Biblical or other religious beliefs on others, are just Marxists carrying a bible. No thanks."

"To preserve the government we must also preserve morals. Morality rests on religion; if you destroy the foundation, the superstructure must fall. When the public mind becomes vitiated and corrupt, laws are a nullity and constitutions are waste paper" - Daniel Webster

"Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these." - William Blackstone, law professor and author of "Commentaries on the Laws of England"

Human law must rest its authority, ultimately, upon the authority of that law, which is Divine... Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. - James Wilson, signer of the Constitution

"Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure, which insures to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation ...of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments." - Charles Carroll, signer of the Declaration

“Religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness.” - Samuel Adams

"The great pillars of all government and of social life [are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone that renders us invincible." - Patrick Henry

‎"The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scripture ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evil men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible." - Noah Webster

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice ? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle." - George Washington, Farewell Address 1796

People who want to force the homosexual agenda on others are homo-nazis/commies.

And that’s what they’ve been doing for over 2 decades. People like you never respond or make mention of that. What do you think of the GOProud’s legislative agenda I posted above?

Right on! I too, mentioned that special guy down the thread. That guy had no problem going into places where there were sinners-eating, getting to know them, and having a little talk w/them! He got further with them than people who sat there; pointing fingers and shunning them.

He said that it was people like that who needed him the most, the ones not allowed in the synagogues because they didn’t behave!

Beating a dead horse.

I seriously doubt Ann is going there to get them to repent of their evil ways.

If I’m wrong and she condemns the GOProud’s homosexual agenda/legislative agenda and tells them to stop killing each other with AIDS, I’ll admit I was wrong.

"No one should get special rights for behavior let alone demand them."

For the record, I fervently do not believe that homosexuals should be given protected status, like minorities and women enjoy under Title VII. Nor do I think "gay marriage" should be allowed, or at least not decided in the Court. And, I don't believe homosexuals should be allowed to openly serve in the military.

OTOH, many homosexuals are small business owners and entrepreneurs. They also face much tougher reactions from Islamicists. If there are a group of homosexuals that are tired of high, punitive taxes, burdensome business regulations and a weak and feckless national defense posture and want to vote Republican because of it, I have no problem with it.

The Tea Party refuses to take ANY stand on social issues, yet they're embraced by most Republicans. If the homosexuals like the Republican financial policies better than the Dem policies, we can take every additional vote we can get. It's still a Republic where popular majorities matter - 51% is better than 49%, every day of the week.

Wouldn’t you love to hear what she says? Like Reagan and the Birchers who supported him, he welcomed their votes without agreeing with their politics.

Do you have a link to their actual agenda, absent your comments. I'd be happy to read it.
