"It becomes a crime when you want to make “people who lie to their mothers” as a category for civil rights victims."

It becomes a "crime"? Sorry, you're going to have to do a better job than that. Your post makes absolutely no sense.

The government is in the crime business, not the sin business. You think homosexuality is a sin. That's fine. The 1st Amendment gives you protection to think and say what you wish - just like it gives protection to children to lie to their mothers (so long as they aren't under oath, and their mother is a federal agent) and gives protection to people to assemble with whomever they choose.

It's not the government's prerogative to punish the child for lying to his mother, and it shouldn't be the prerogative of the government to inspect people's bedrooms. Perhaps you think it should be. We differ.

I want to live in a free country - where people are free to choose to either sin or not to sin, and to define or believe what "sin" actually is. "Congress shall make no law..." seems pretty clear to me.

People who wish to force their Biblical or other religious beliefs on others, are just Marxists carrying a bible. No thanks.

I saw a saying once: "The love that dare not speak it's name now won't shut the He**l up!". If they'd keep it in their bedroom instead of in our faces no one would CARE what they do. No one should get special rights for behavior let alone demand them.

"People who wish to force their Biblical or other religious beliefs on others, are just Marxists carrying a bible. No thanks."

"To preserve the government we must also preserve morals. Morality rests on religion; if you destroy the foundation, the superstructure must fall. When the public mind becomes vitiated and corrupt, laws are a nullity and constitutions are waste paper" - Daniel Webster

"Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these." - William Blackstone, law professor and author of "Commentaries on the Laws of England"

Human law must rest its authority, ultimately, upon the authority of that law, which is Divine... Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. - James Wilson, signer of the Constitution

"Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure, which insures to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation ...of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments." - Charles Carroll, signer of the Declaration

“Religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness.” - Samuel Adams

"The great pillars of all government and of social life [are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone that renders us invincible." - Patrick Henry

‎"The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scripture ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evil men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible." - Noah Webster

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice ? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle." - George Washington, Farewell Address 1796

People who want to force the homosexual agenda on others are homo-nazis/commies.

And that’s what they’ve been doing for over 2 decades. People like you never respond or make mention of that. What do you think of the GOProud’s legislative agenda I posted above?

Unfortunately they do not keep it in their bedrooms. They force it into our churches, every business in the land, and worst of all our schools, perverting the minds and corrupting the hearts of our children with “how to” lessons on gay sex. I am sorry to inform you that IS against the law yet our govt sanctions it.

Old Deck, please pay attention to what I wrote.

The point was that people aren’t trying to defend “people who lie to their mothers” and make me hire them or rent apartments to them. It is you who wants to impose your morality on the rest of us. This is not about anti-sodomy laws, it is about an effort to impose immorality on the rest of us.
