The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Paterson’s offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood.
“I think they would like to stay where they are, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them,” Paterson said. “Having said that, how much more foresighted would it have been if the imam who is the developer of the project had been willing to hear what we are actually talking about?”

Patterson may be crazy like a fox. I’m actually beginning to warm up to the guy, especially after he stood up to Obama. Let’s see what he does next.

But, this is ISLAM. The US government is trying to make it the state religion. Homosexuals, drug users, adulterers, and other liberals think that a strong Islam in the US can defeat the “evil Christians”. Off subject, my best buddy owns a Pizza Shop called Nikos.
Don’t know how true this is, but I think Hannity had some guy calling saying that he had talked to the leaders of several unions and all had agreed not to work on the site.
I’m a pretty calm and quiet guy. It takes a lot to get me to rise up and be counted. Not saying that I don’t support the many TEa Party protests. I do. I don’t attend them, but you can count on me to vote conservative in November.
On the other hand, I swear...here. If these people are given the go ahead to build a mosque at that site or any other site in view of where the twin towers stood, I will be there on that first day, when there are photo ops for their first shovel of dirt, probably along with millions of other Americans.
I will go to jail, protesting this travesty if it ever comes to that.
The people of this country will NEVER allow that mosque to be built there. Never. There is not one trade union in New York that will work on it.
It will never happen.
But it was good to see the true colors of people like Bloomberg and every other politician who has spoken in support of this.
We must keep pounding away at this debacle that is a “mosque.” More voices, more citizens locked arm in arm and shouting “NO MOSQUE.”
Remember the crowds of people with pictures of missing family members and friends in their hands, walking the streets of New York and gathering together to hold memorials, to say prayers for those lost? Where are those people today? Why aren't they crowding the streets once more and DEMANDING that that traitor Bloomberg listen to the people and stop the building of this shrine to the enemy that caused them so much pain? The Police Force, firefighters, construction workers, EVERYONE who was there and filled their lungs with the dust that was once many human beings, need to be marching shoulder to shoulder and demanding that Bloomberg listen to the people.
Loud public outcry is needed....and then resistance by those who can resist in aiding and abetting in any way they can, those who are behind these muslims who spit in the faces of the citizens of the United States.
NO MOSQUE NEAR GROUND ZERO. IF WE ALLOW THIS INSANITY THAT IS A MOSQUE TO BE BUILT NEAR GROUND ZERO, THEN WE HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT OURSELVES. FIGHT, DAMMIT.

I submit it was nothing more than typical Democrat politics and the rule of unintended consequences that are always attached to them.
