Slater was completely irresponsible in his behavior on the plane. That’s what concerns me, not his homosexuality. But everything points to him having an alcohol problem, exacerbated by his personal stress/family concerns. However, safety comes first for airlines employees and they are entrusted to use emergency measures when needed for the safety of the passengers, not for their own personal use. I’m talking about deploying the slide. I don’t even mind him cursing the passenger, although it calls for discipline, but opening the plane is a huge taboo.
