I cannot imagine that many of those farmers even knew about this scam being perpetrated in their names. I have to believe there is more pride in self-reliance.

Most farmers depend on God, their land, the weather and family members to harvest the fruits of their labor -NOT THE GOVERNMENT and certainly not at the expense of others.

And they may still not know it, and there might be made up entities collecting money illegally from this payout. How else do you explain double the number of actual AA farmers being included in the settlement? This has to be investigated.

I'm sure you're right. Anyone who is competent enough, and ambitious enough to operate their own farm, isn't looking for reparations from anyone.

Truth is, there aren't 86,000 black farmers in the country (per the article), although Obama managed to get thousands of blacks recognized as such for the purposes of this lawsuit.

That's the HUGE back-story here.
