Notice that the people who actually do something get paid the least.

omg Try to find a job like that in Pittsburgh! Next year LA will be going to Obama with their hand out asking for a bailout! Why should the people working real jobs and getting paid fair wages pay for this excess! I would say in most cases you could cut the salaries 50%. Where would they get a job making even 50% less I have no idea. One job I know about would be a programmer II. Between 50 and 60K in Pittsburgh and 111k in LA!

May as well list their phone numbers and home addresses so that the tax paying fellow-citizens can get to know these people a little better.

I’m not sure that some of those jobs should even exist, but otherwise remember that the cost of living in LA is off the charts. It might not be possible to fill the jobs that are important for much less money.

...And when they retire (after 20 years) - they'll get 90% of their salaries for the rest of their lives - right?
California is bankrupt, and the Legislature is still throwing away dollars like drunken sailors... The difference being, of course, that drunken sailors throw away their own dollars. Our 'leaders' are throwing away taxpayer dollars, and borrowing money that they can throw away.

NEIGHBRHD EMPLOYMENT ANALYST $82,726.56
Hmm, I wonder what exactly a neighborhood employment analyst does.
"Excuse me sir, are you employed?"
"No".
"OK, that's one no" (checks the "no column on clipboard).
Pardon me ma'am, are you employed?"
"Yes"
All right, that's one yes". (checks the "yes" column on clipboard).

I emailed this message to friends-—
“Here are examples of the outrageous salaries being paid for jobs that should not need even exist. Such as-— GENERAL MGR NEIGHBORHOOD EMPOWERMENT $154,512.00
This is happening at all levels of government.
Additionally, the pensions received by government workers tend to be better than pensions paid to non-government employees.
Government is bankrupting us.”

We should be doing some serious digging in our own communities. I’m fortunate to live in a tiny town were all township positions are unpaid.
