Hitting the campaign-cash trail again today, President Obama in Austin, Texas today opened up a string of attacks against the Republicans, painting them as a party that lacks seriousness and ideas due to only looking forward to the next election.
“There has been a fundamental lack of seriousness on the other side,” Obama said to a crowd at the Four Seasons hotel in Austin, “We've spent the last 20 months governing, they have spent the last 20 months politicking."
The president – who has been out on the stump raising cash and throwing his support behind local candidates increasingly – says that well he can politick with the best of them for the next three months leading up to midterm elections. “They forgot I'm pretty good at politicking,” he quipped with a smile.

The weird thing to me is that Obama still probably thinks it matters what he says. Anyone with a lick of sense who may have paid attention to what he said during the first few months in office immediately realized that everything he said was either a total lie, partisan BS, or both, and has therefore subsequently tuned him out altogether. People like me, for example.
So I suppose he can blather on in a lackluster fashion with all of his partisan election rhetoric, desperately pretending like he’s trying to help the Rats out of the mess he deliberately lead them into in the first place by attacking the Pubs, etc., but quite frankly, it’s all just so much Sturm und Drang.
And the worst about it, is he isn’t even entertaining. Obama doesn’t seem to have a clue about how to put on a decent Dog and Pony Show, which is kind of weird, because the press built up his pre-election speeches as if he was some kind of latter day messiah that could sway the masses with his charisma, and cause loaves and fishes to flow forth.
Perhaps his handlers are no longer allowing him such a large dose of performance enhancing substances as before.
And leftists have been politicking, at least since FDR was POTUS, if not even before.
Well said but the sad thing is even leftist journalists HAVE to see this and they continue to take cover for him.

Obama is upset because he thought he would get a free pass and be the only one politicing. He is not used to a real fight.
