Greek-American Conservative Republican Candidate for Congress in the First District of New York George Demos appeared on Fox News recently. Demos called on The Port Authoritys Executive Director Chris Ward to immediately stop his bureaucratic roadblocks and that the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at Ground Zero must be a top priority.

...good for you George Demos!!
So let me get this straight....the politicos in NY are moving full steam ahead to build a mosque 600 feet from ground zero where one has never been, representing the relgion that crashed into WTC...but the Greek Orthodox can’t rebuild and they have been around for a 1,000 years? Well hey..thats the problem. The Greek Orothodox are Christians and Christians are on the outs with the PC crowd!
NOW watch the New York politicos scramble into action, when a CHRISTIAN church is threatened at Ground Zero.
Sure, rebuilding the church would be nice, but oh, so, un pc and shameful to muslims whose culture depends on building on top of any other religion’s destroyed buildings in a victory for allah slap in the face to them. And we wouldn’t want to offend this great “religion” of peace.
I think that rebuilding the Orthodox church is a great idea. They actually had a church there before, unlike the mosque.
By all means, bring it back.
It's like seeing a picture of an old, dear friend, who died for no reason.
It took a secret society, the Masons, to dispose of much of the European royalty and liberate the common man. The ruling elite have reorganized with the Bilderbergers, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Trilateral Commission. The common man is going to need a new secret society to beat them back and keep his freedom.
That’s eerie Minuteman. You wrote EXACTLY what I was goig to say, even down to starting with “Let me get this straight”.
Just when I think I can’t get any angrier.
I didn’t know about the church that was there before. But I’ve been saying that if a christian church were trying to get a permit to build in Manhatten, they would have a terrible time getting approval. I’m aware of what other churches in other cities are going through these days, there is a lot of resentment toward the church and one of the ways it turns up is when churches try to get permission to build or expand.
I didn’t realize that this is already happening, and with a church that was there before the attack.
In the nine years since the attack we haven’t been able to rebuild the towers, we haven’t been able to rebuild the church, but a mosque is underway. Remember it only took 410 days to build the Empire State Building from scratch.
interesting. Any suggestions?
(No jokes about decorder rings please).
I thought the Greek Orthodox diocese had backed out of the deal to sell its property.

Sounds like what the liberal NYC people are doing.
You got a Jeish pro-Terrorist mayor pandering to the religion that caused 9/11...while denying the rebuilding of a Christian church destroyed that day.
Outright anti-Christian evil
thanks, that needed saying.
PANYNJ is going to use eminent domain to claim the land “under” a rebuilt St. Nicks. They claim to need it as a security tunnel from which they can monitor deliveries for explosives and the like. So Islam gets a 13 story edifice paid for by??? and St’ Nicks gets a rebuilt church, paid for by donations, but built over a 24/7 truck tunnel. Sounds about right. I’m sure Mike Mayor for Life Bloomberg is on board.
