I need to find some emails in WI so that I can start emailing political opinions after August 15th.

I have a feeling this will be a VERY, VERY selectively enforced law. If they even get past the legal challenges.

That said, this is very disturbing. If I decide to say or do ANYTHING online, or even if I wanted to go stand by the courthouse and protest something how am I supposed to know if that will be interpreted as “endorsing” or “working for” a candidate? How do I determine if something I write is worth $25.00 or not? If it’s the only thing I publish on my website for a year does that mean it’s worth $300.00?

Plus, this isn’t just 2 months before a general election. They are mentioning 2 months before ANY election — and there are some held every spring as well... Do I have to now black out 4 months on my calendar every year during which I can’t be critical of an elected official if they are running for re-election?

So many questions that should NEVER have to even be contemplated... It’s CLEARLY something that could be interpreted as COMPLETELY against the 1st Amendment.
