Florida is set to deliver a number of true conservatives to Congress and to take back two, three or even more seats from the Democrats. If Republicans regain the House, as we are poised to do, Florida will have a key role in that effort. But of all our great candidates, not only in Florida, but anywhere in the nation, Tom Garcia in the crucial FL-24 race stands out above the crowd.
Commander Tom Garcia is a rare mix of character, integrity, brashness and common sense. His election stands to improve Americas national security and economic wellbeing more than any other congressional race.
His biography says it all. As a naval officer, Tom Garcia won a presidential medal for developing a plan to save the US Navy millions of dollars while increasing safety in motion. The plan he put forward is estimated to have helped save numerous lives as well, by increasing training safety.
Garcia is also the Democrats worst nightmare, an American of Hispanic heritage who vehemently opposes illegal immigration. In fact, the day after the Arizona law was announced and before any other candidate had gone on record, CDR Garcia became the first candidate in the nation to advocate for a similar national initiative in all 50 states.

FL Retake Congress ping

Is he the guy to back? Does he have a chance in the primary? He hasn’t been on my radar.
His problem is lack of money. Craig Miller has the largest bankroll in this race.
That district is in the Cape Canaveral area and is represented by freshman Democrat Suzanne Kosmas, who offed an ethically-challenged incumbant. The Republican field appears to be underfunded and uninspiring. There’s a state Rep, City Councilwoman, and a wealthy steakhouse chain owner who are in the top tier of GOP candidates now, none of whom have made a strong impression. I’ve never heard of Tom Garcia.
I know Tom and he is indeed a great candidate. Anyone would be better than Kosmas!
The FL-24 is in eastern Orange ans Seminole Counties, southern Volusia County and northern Brevard County; Cape Canaveral is to its south,, in the FL-15.
I originally thought that the race would be between Karen Diebel and Sandy Adams, with Adams being my favorite, but it appears that the primary could be a four-candidate race. The winner would have an excellent chance of beating the liberal Kosmas in a conservative Republican district.
He’s definitely the guy. The media’s only reporting on Craig Miller, whose record on immigration is troubling and two local career politicians who were both strong supporters of the SunRail. Tom is the real grassroots candidate, endorsed by iCaucus by a wide margin and most of the activist conservatives. The media’s done its best to downplay him, just as they have many conservatives in FL8. But even a quick look shows him to be the best choice by a large margin. With all of our support and emailing friends, we can take part in helping him pull it off. He definitely deserves to.
