Yes it was.
Communists masquerading as Catholic.
I can see that. Fits the M.O.

“200lbs of explosives in Derry car bomb”
SNIPPET: “When the bomb was left, police received a warning from Oglaigh na hEireann - a splinter group of the Continuity IRA.
The paramilitary group currently operating under this title split from the Continuity IRA in 2006 and is said to include some of the most experienced terrorists from the Provisional IRA.”
It did for McCain..............
I worry that incidents such as these will cause the world to look upon the Catholic-Protestant problems in Ireland as similar to the Sunni-Shia issue. I was in Ireland several years ago, and was talking to some locals about the Ulster question. We asked why don’t the Catholics just move out and come to the Republic. One guy told us that the Catholics in Ulster are now too dependent on British welfare, which they wouldn’t get in the Republic.
Why they left, that we don't yet know.
That could be worrying. If the Catholic Nationalist community get their wish of a United Ireland, they won’t get their benefits.
From what I understand.....many ‘funds’ for the IRA dried up after the 9/11 attack.
I’ll have a difficult time getting my wife to visit Northern Ireland. After a wonderful tour of the south of the Republic last year, I’d like to visit N.Ireland. But if this stuff is still going on, the wife won’t go.
The IRA are atheist commies.
“...Id like to visit N.Ireland.”
I’ve never been there but I’ve heard good things. Apparently, the scenic beauty in NI is just as good as in the Republic.
For those interested in what happened during the Troubles, there are former IRA guys who’ll take you on walking tours of Catholic Belfast. You can see the wall murals, etc.
I think it’d be interesting.
Okay, my bad.

“Real IRA behind car bomb blast at PSNI base”
GEORGE JACKSON and DAN KEENAN
SNIPPET: “The 100kg bomb exploded 22 minutes after a caller using a recognised Real IRA code word said the device would explode in 45 minutes.”
SNIPPET: “The bomb was in a taxi which had been hijacked half an hour before the explosion at Cooke Street in the Long Tower area of the city about one mile from the police station.
The driver, who was responding to a call to collect a fare in Cooke Street, was confronted by two masked men, one of them armed with a handgun.
The masked men got into the taxi, a silver Mazda 626, and ordered the driver at gunpoint to drive to nearby Glenfada Park in the Bogside, the scene of some of the Bloody Sunday killings in 1972.
There they placed the bomb into the boot of the taxi and ordered the driver to park the car outside the police stations security gates.”
