This really just sounds like a robbery. I wonder if he has attacked and robbed anyone other than Mexican immigrants? I wonder if the authorities have any interest in finding out?
There have been a lot of black-on-Mexican robberies, beatings and killings. Blacks resent Mexicans because the latter group is actually willing to WORK at jobs the uneducated blacks consider beneath them: busboys, maids, laborers. And the Mexicans do well at it, have a few hundred dollars in their pockets at payday, and the “black youths” have to “get paid,” as they call robbery.
It’s particularly ironic in this case that the criminal Liberian was able to get citizenship while most Mexicans, because of our crazy immigration laws, cannot.
Once they found out the assailant was black and a juvenile, I bet the NYC newsrooms were filled with the sound of pencils snapping in half and papers being thrown.

So, they attack them because they have money. As I said. A robbery. You rob the victim most likely to have something and most available.
The Liberian kid who allegedly committed this assault cannot be a racist because he is black. Such are the fruits of victimhood.
As zero and his crew continue their slash and burn mission against the private sector, tax revenues dwindle and thus do the freebies to the parasites. Both illegal aliens and many legal immigrants are boils on the ass of the American economic structure.
If the Mexican had stayed in his own country or been deported he wouldn’t be a victim, at least not at that particular place and time.
What I’d like to know is where he got the $10 he was robbed of.
At his age he could have only gotten citizenship when & because his parents did.
But I would cry that more Mexicans can't get citizenship. Police records show most Mexicans and Central Americans are crime victims at the hands of their own "community." And that's only part of the story, since many crimes go unreported in those communities.

I remember that the triads and tongs targeted blacks after blacks attacked Asians regularly. I wonder if the MS-13 will make an appearance.

You’re wrong. More Mexicans get in legally than any other country.
Nowhere near as many as we need if we had a realistic short-term visa program...but you may not be aware that Obama issued an administrative order in February, 2009 that made the raw numbers for each country the same. This was meant to increase Muslim immigration, since these very small remote African countries now had the same status as Mexico, a large country that is a neighbor.
Forget the law. He is doing everything through administrative orders, which is why he’s not very concerned about an immigration law and in fact probably doesn’t want a new one.
Probably not. MS-13 is horrible and most Latin American immigrants don’t want them; the tongs are much more established among Asians and control virtually every facet of life in Asian areas (I used to live in SF, and the tongs dominated Chinatown).
It’s true that ethnic groups do get swayed by criminals offering them Mafia-style “protection,” but since MS 13 is probably in league with the major black drug gangs, I doubt that anything will happen with them.
Per an earlier post, (Mexican Youth Is Attacked on Staten Island (NY Times, "assailants, mostly young black men")) he was his way home after working a late shift as a busboy at a local restaurant.
Not stated by the NYT would be that, as an illegal, he almost certainly doesn't have a valid Health Department card, including having been screened for TB & hepatitis; nor having a legally obtained Social Security card.
Also, (going by employment regs in CA, OR, & SD) according to the previous story, he was 17, not 18; therefore, he also probably would not have a valid work permit for a minor; and, as a minor, it would most likely be an employer violation to have him work a 'late shift'.
