My 34 yo nephew is nicknamed Snooky, but they are referring to the MTV show Jersey Housewives (or something like that).
She is a character on the reality show. She also was arrested yesterday for disorderly conduct on the beach yesterday. Source WABC radio this AM

Apparently Snooki is an actress on some TV show with which I am not familiar. She is known for her tanned-ness, which is obtained through the use of tanning salons. She, (or her character) recently commented on her show that she had to stop going to the tanning salon because of the Obama tax on tanning, or words to that effect.

Obama was asked on The View, in their apparently one real question, about Snooki, and of course, he evaded the issue by claiming he didn't know about it.
