“When considering the 44% “somewhat approve” number, you’ve got to remember the demographics we working against:

Yes, I am very aware of the 13% black, and the red diaper doper babies that make up the 40+ percent.
It is still frustrating that America has fallen to that level.

That short, little, big-eared FREAK ran because he wanted his ego stroked. He didn’t care what he did to the country as long as he got his ‘face time’ on the networks and they MSM was all too happy to play along. It got Clinton re-elected and that was all they cared about.

There are some who always vote Democrat no matter what.

There are some who always vote Republican no mater what.

And then there are those who can go either way in various elections depending on this and that at the time. It is those independents and others in the middle that determine who wins.

Maybe some of them can excuse their 2008 vote for Obama by claiming temporary insanity due to the economic emergency and being hypnotized by Obama’s purported smarts and “charms”.

If they vote for him again in 2012, they will prove that their insanity is permanent.

” I know a few people who will not admit they were wrong and who, in fact, get testy about it.”

I want to bump into a guy named Tom who kept explaining oh so patiently before the election that Obama was not a socialist and I was being kneejerk.

The problem, as I see it, is not one of approval vs. disapproval but one of, “If you knew then what you know now, would you have voted the same way?” Is this question ever asked?
I suppose that even if Obamalamadingdong lost the Independents and scab Republicans that voted for him in 2008, the 13 million new voters he will sanctify shortly, will more than make up for his loss.
We are fighting an uphill battle and some are going to have to be willing to sacrifice themselves in the battle so that those backing them up can move forward and even make a sacrifice themselves. I'm afraid we do not have the courage (see Ted Nugent’s article in Washington Times).
Are we willing to make a solemn an oath as our Founders, who pledged, “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor”?
In our more than comfortable existence of today, who will stand? In light of the culture of the the X generation, the Y generation and any that came after the famously inept Baby Boom (of which I reside), can you reasonably expect them to give up what they never recognized as something to be held tightly as a prized possession?
What if they told you tomorrow, you will get no Social Security, no Medicare, no Medicaid and we are confiscating your retirement to fund the government? Would you be willing to stand? What if they did all that and raised your taxes such that for every employee, except for those in the ruling oligarchy, you could only keep 25% of the income you currently earn? Would you stand? Would you go to Washington and march? Would you go to your state capital and march? Would you go to your city or county office building and march? I am afraid that since the numbers at the various TEA parties rallies have decreased, that the answer is increasingly, NO!

.The Associated Press
JUNEAU, Alaska — Sarah Palin is criticizing President Barack Obama for appearing on “The View.”

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said Thursday on Twitter that Obama has “no time” to visit the U.S.-Mexico border yet can chat on the ABC daytime talk show.

She says she plans to visit to what she calls the “porous” border “in the near future.” She wasn’t specific

He is still doing just fine over at Gallop with 46% approve and 47% disapproving. THINK about that - 46% approving just a couple of months before the mid terms. I am not at all confident in Nov 2 outcome - he just gave his 30+ million undocumented democRAT voters something to look forward to, as well as his now looney owners of the RAT party.

Independents and Republicans MUST turn out on Nov 2 like never before. Volunteer to be a poll watcher, you know the RATs will be cheating like never before. Take pics on your cell phone camera of anything suspicious at the polling place.

The few remaining I know that confess to supporting The Zero view of this country say Rassmussen is an outlier, slanted right, and can’t be trusted.

This past week though, he scored new lows in most of the Pravda polls.

When he starts dipping into -25 to -30 in this one, he’s basically done.

We don’t want him peaking low too soon, as it gives his sheep a nice argument of him having “turned things around” when the results start going back in the direction to his favor (even if its a slight shift). I believe there will always be somewhere around 30% of the population who are dumb enough to believe the propaganda spewed from the occupiers in DC.

I tried not to get too bent when the index went to -15 so I'm not going to have a party when it goes back to -20.

Last week when I called my mother, she said, "Well I see Rasmussen has Obama back at -13. They must be concentrating on polling the northeastern states again."

She cracks me up.

Isn’t Gallup polling registered voters?

If they narrowed the focus to likely voters, then the numbers would be similar to rasmussen.

A figure that is the same or very close to the percentage of people who do not pay federal income tax. The real hurdle we face is this group, which probably tends to draw other public services. As Papa Gubmint supplies their daily needs, they may not feel that they have it too bad (until the day the spigot stops...cold).

I totally approve of how much he sucks.
