The problem, as I see it, is not one of approval vs. disapproval but one of, “If you knew then what you know now, would you have voted the same way?” Is this question ever asked?
I suppose that even if Obamalamadingdong lost the Independents and scab Republicans that voted for him in 2008, the 13 million new voters he will sanctify shortly, will more than make up for his loss.
We are fighting an uphill battle and some are going to have to be willing to sacrifice themselves in the battle so that those backing them up can move forward and even make a sacrifice themselves. I'm afraid we do not have the courage (see Ted Nugent’s article in Washington Times).
Are we willing to make a solemn an oath as our Founders, who pledged, “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor”?
In our more than comfortable existence of today, who will stand? In light of the culture of the the X generation, the Y generation and any that came after the famously inept Baby Boom (of which I reside), can you reasonably expect them to give up what they never recognized as something to be held tightly as a prized possession?
What if they told you tomorrow, you will get no Social Security, no Medicare, no Medicaid and we are confiscating your retirement to fund the government? Would you be willing to stand? What if they did all that and raised your taxes such that for every employee, except for those in the ruling oligarchy, you could only keep 25% of the income you currently earn? Would you stand? Would you go to Washington and march? Would you go to your state capital and march? Would you go to your city or county office building and march? I am afraid that since the numbers at the various TEA parties rallies have decreased, that the answer is increasingly, NO!
