Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove.

I tried not to get too bent when the index went to -15 so I'm not going to have a party when it goes back to -20. I'm glad to see it did though since it confirms that the high numbers we were seeing last week were just statistical noise.
Opinions have hardened and you can now be open about your opposition to Obama without getting hammered. "Give him a chance" has changed to "Give him the boot". It would take something truly amazing to push him positive again. And dumping a huge tax increase on the country isn't going to help Obama any.

No big bounce from the view appearance? No one seems to mention that he was going after his core voting group. People who have time to sit on the couch eating bonbons and watching bad TV all day.

When we like his poll he is the best, and when we don’t he sucks:). Since 2004 he has been great. When he first started he sucked. He had a learning curve. Now his polls are second best behind Survey USA for accuracy.

I do not know a single human being that approves of this administration.
My 24 year old son is so mad, he could just spit.
The good news is that he’s “working” his peers.

Yes - but he has been as low as -20 not all that long ago... as other posters have noted, his minions plans to have him get out and “campaign again” (as if he ever stopped)is NOT working in his favor !

Obammy is simply a fake, a fraud and a phony. He’s a poseur. He’s the ultimate example of The Peter Principle.

“Yippee!”
Not so fast. The fact that 40+ percent somewhat approve
is a dismal view of brain dead Americans.
At least it is refreshing that he went back to -20.
Yesterday, he was back up to only -16.
By 2012, Americans may have no say in who rules them.

His polling is a yo-yo. Someone mentioned that -17 is about right and I agree. One day he is at -15 and the next -20 so average -17 is correct for a long while. I think he is toast but I never thought Clinton would win a second term either so who knows what the voters will do in 2012.
