AUSTIN Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill White has a message for President Barack Obama: Call me.
Obama is scheduled to come to Texas for fundraisers on Aug. 9, but White has said he's too busy to meet with him.
But the Democrat said he'd happily take a call from the president.
"I'd be available to talk to the president, whoever the president of the United States is, at any time," White said on Friday. "I'm available to talk to anybody by telephone."

There is no way White will be caught dead with Obama. A photo of those two together would be the kiss of death for his campaign.
Which of the two has the biggest ego?...Barry or Bill?
Bill White is a worm. He’s running a stealthy smear campaign on Perry. Like Perry or not...we need to keep him for another term.
I dunno, but if we're lucky, maybe we can get them in the same room and they can schmooze each other to death.
White doesn’t want pictures of him kissing Mr. Obamacare’s feet out there floating around the web.
You know what would be a riot?
Rick Perry ought to announce that he’s not too busy to meet with Obama.
And would be glad to have obama stop in.
Never happen of course, but just the idea.
lolol
Governor Perry has already invited zero to a meeting about additional troops on the border....of course the mongrel president hasn’t responded...
Particularly if Perry were to respectfully take Barry to the woodshed then release a text of what he told Barry on behalf of the state about mess’in with Texas.
Where states have REPUB govs., the Govs should be insisting Barry meet with them if he flits in for cash. and they should let loose on him (Brewerize the Pres). That might at least slow his fundraising trips in their states.
Whether you agreed/disagreed with Gov. Perry it would be a disaster to have a Liberal Democrat running Texas down to the ground. California would love to have someone govern similar to Gov. Perry; but our state is dying from liberal under the umbrella of Republican.
Just no photos with the President!
