Do you have an opinion on who the two witnesses of Rev. 11 are? I know one is Elijah. But who, in your opinion, is the other? Thanks, svitw
None have resonated with me however. I have heard varying thoughts on the topic.

This is just an opinion, but I would like to see what you all think about this scenario....
So many people discuss constantly, even myself..Who is the *Antichrist* the one spoken of in Revelation and the Book of Daniel....Okay....Barack Obama is not Satan....But is this a possibility..
Satan in a *spirit* not a man nor a devil with horns but a spirit...Now we know as long as we our sealed with G-d’s protection, Satan cannot hurt us or conquer us, however he can come to the weak, the anti-G-d people....If Obama has a carnal mind that is contrary to the Truth of G-d and is a liar and a deceiver, than during the *Tribulation* when G-d does remove his church, from the world what would prevent Satan from inhabiting the Spirit of a human being say like Pres Obama and show signs and wonders as the Great Deceiver in the President?
I may be way off base here, however do you think this is a possibility?
The “Family Radio” and “Alameda Bible Society” people, with the leadership of “Harold Camping” are the source of the “May 21, 2011” prediction.
Mr. Camping had published and preached a similar prediction for an earlier time once before (to be sometime in 1994 I believe it was).
He claims at this time that that was not a date he was so sure about then, as he is now, and that their continued study of the bible has led to discovering a time line he is totally certain of at this time.
His overall prediction and time line has these primary elements:
1. As of 1988 God abandoned all institutional church organizations in the world - of any kind - to Satan’s influence and with no interference against that influence, from God. There may be some “true believers” left in such institutions, but no part of salvation can be found in anything they continue to do or from an association with them.
2. The rapture will take place, along with Christ’s return, on May 21, 2011, at which time the great tribulation will commence.
3. The great tribulation will last 153 days, filling the world with torment in every conceivable way and beyond human endurance, at the end of which this earth, and all life (including any humans) remaining on it, will cease to exist, as it will all be destroyed. [Their view in that matter is in opposition to an “eternal torment” view of hell; that instead a merciful God would not do that and will simply end - permanently and in every way - all life that was not already chosen [at the beginning of time] to be saved].
That’s a “nutshell” version of what the “May 21, 2011” folks are believing to be the correct “end days” scenario. If I have erred in that description, I apologize to all for not having a perfect memory.
You can catch their late nite TV and radio programs on local broadcast channels in most parts of the U.S. I have acquired the above info about them after running across their shows, flipping through the channels during some bouts of insomnia, and stopping long enough to see just what they were all about.
The truth of all of it, or not, I leave to God.
Rosh Hoshanah 5771 is Sept 9&10, 2010.
The Jewish calendar is 360 days long, 12 months at 30 days, with a leap month every 7 years.
May 14, 1948 was late in the year 5708, Rosh Hoshanah is Jewish New Year, basically like our Jan. 1. So extrapolating 70 years from 5708 is 5778, but May 14, 1948 was Iyar 5, 5708.
Iyar 5, 5778, 70 years later is April 20, 2018.
Iyar 5, 5771 is May 9, 2011.
So, Sept9&10, 2010 is Tishrei 1, 5771.
Technically from Iyar 5, 5708 to Tishrei 1, 5771 is 69 years 5 months.
I hope that thouroughly confuses you. :)
Not to defend or refute their positions, but I must admit that people should not take my descriptions of their beliefs as verbatim quotes of the “Family Radio/Harold Camping” positions. People should, if they feel so inclined to investigate, go to the “Family Radio” sources directly.
Did you see Uriel-2012 post #28 and mountn man’s post #26?
He is returning after the tribulation but before that He’ll be in the clouds calling His church home.
Curiouus. Our golden wedding anniversary is the Friday of that week...
Is that part of the mystery :<) (bad link)
And your circular logic unravels if you consider that God the Father - is the Father. Jesus is the Son of God; and the Holy Ghost is a bodiless entity that has a seperate mission in which a body is not necessary.
Consider, the founding fathers were seperate individuals who worked together for a common cause - creation of the USA. They were not some abstract embodiment with 50+ intelligences working on a sheet of paper.
Even at the Baptism of Christ, Christ was getting wet in the River, the Holy Spirit descended from the Heavens in the form of a dove; and a voice in the Heavens called out “Behold, this is my Beloved Son; in whom I am well pleased”.
Doesn’t sound like a single entity with multiple personality disorder to me; seems downright obvious that there are 3 entities working together.
Or, consider how God acts upon mankind. Flooded the world, nuked Sodom and Ghomorrah, caused the earth to open up and swallow those who opposed Moses, parted the Red Sea - he’s not the subtle sort. One could argue that he’s pretty much an ‘in your face’ type of God.
Now, consider Jesus. He walks on water, calms storms, heals the sick, feeds the poor, is meek and instructs the sinners. Only one instance of him really losing it and that was in the Temple with the moneychangers. But, no lightning, no fireballs, just opened up a can on those moneychangers.
The Holy Ghost has no body; but serves as a testament of the truth of Jesus Christ. Whenever 2 or more are gathered in his name; the Holy Spirit too can be felt.
The Old Testament, and the New Testament and even the Dead Sea Scrolls in no way mention the Trinity. It’s a manmade construct. If what the people who subscrive to the trinity are called on it - the challenge is simple. Please show where the bible states that God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are one individual. It’s just a simple sentence, surely in the thousands of pages of scripture they can find a single sentence mentioning the Trinity.
No, like a basketball team; we have seperate persons all working towards a common goal - in that case - the salvation of man.

Read the Book of Enoch. He lived only 600 years after Adam & Eve. The story makes perfect sense after you hear what Enoch has to say. The Bible’s plan was hard to understand without Enoch. Enoch was a contemporary of the fallen angels and reports his interactions with them!!!! Hear what satan and his evil angels had to say. It’s fabulous material. At Qumran, the most popular book was Enoch. We have every reason to accept that his was the oldest book in the world. Remember Moses lived 1200 years after Enoch. Read away and understand everything coming our way!
Amen Brother.shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiachYHvH's blessings on you and yours.
Thank you very much ...
