FoxNews producer just moments ago said that Rangel is saying he is unaware of a deal being struck.
[Committee members are voting in the full House, so the Committee meeting is delayed.]

If Rangel can break the law without any responsibility, then we have no responsibility to abide by the law.
If the FED isn't inforcing it, it doesn't exist. We now have precedent, from the AZ ruling.
[Unintended consequences.]

The NY Post can and should take credit for the entire outing of Rangel. They have done more incredible investigation work on Rangel, Gov Patterson, and a number of other organizations (not to mention all the criminals in the Albany legislature). No one, not the slimes, the WSJournal, Daily News have near the track record that the Post has in outing these bums. The most treasured of my three paper subscriptions! (Post, WSJ and local rag).

Rangel, a Dem, has his law-breaking whitewashed by the Dems in Congress.
Gingrich, a Repub, has his non-law breaking trumped-up charges used to force his resignation, and is eventually exonerated, which is never given the publicity the trumped-up charges were given.
In other news, water is wet.
Please, can we give Tiger Woods a break? Obama and the Dems are screwing the whole country...

I agree. I knew once the “investigation” ended, he would cut a deal.
My issue is that US citizens deserve to view his numerous ethics violations revealed in court or a pervasive hearing, at least.
If there was ever a reason for that hack Holder to litigate an issue, this is it......but we’re dealing with a democrat administration so we know we’ll never know the extent of Charlie’s crimes. Just plain sickening!!!!!

This is, of course, Adam Clayton Powell's old district. The morals of this country have sharply deteriorated since that time. So temporary ouster from congress would be the
maximum penalty, not a likely penalty.
Hell, we have an impeached former federal judge who ousted for bribery and malfeasance serving in congress when he should be serving in jail. Rangell has done nothing that bad. Who can name the disgraced former judge routinely reelected to congress?
