* Tough state immigration crackdown starts on Thursday

* Boom in yard sales as migrants sell off belongings

* Legal residents, US-born children join scramble to leave

By Tim Gaynor

PHOENIX, July 25 (Reuters) - Nicaraguan mother Lorena Aguilar hawks a television set and a few clothes on the baking sidewalk outside her west Phoenix apartment block.

A few paces up the street, her undocumented Mexican neighbor Wendi Villasenor touts a kitchen table, some chairs and a few dishes as her family scrambles to get out of Arizona ahead of a looming crackdown on illegal immigrants.

"Everyone is selling up the little they have and leaving," said Villasenor, 31, who is headed for Pennsylvania. "We have no alternative. They have us cornered."

Don’t let the door hit you in the a$$... Buh bye. I just hope that they don’t come to my state. Sometimes I think the federal gov ought to do something about illegals. Then I remember who’s in charge, and just sigh.

Utah lawmakers have just returned from AZ with copies of the 1070 law in their hands.

It won’t be many months before illegals will feel the pinch in UT, and the Holder Just-us Dept will have another state to sue.

I actually read through a lot of the comments, I didn’t find one that wasn’t in approval of the law.

I’m sure there must be one but I couldn’t find it.

By the way a person in the article says she is going to PA. I’m sure after our idiot politicians announced they were against AZ some will head to FL. I may have to move to AZ.

Yeah. Considering a similar law while they notify all the Illegals on the recently publicized list that there will be no reprisals toward them because of their status.

Then what's the point of the law if they're is no consequences for their illegal status!?

We need to force Perry and the legislature to back up Brewer and AZ and put the same thing on the books here. Otherwise, we may all have to just move to Arizona.

There is a old saying: "These Things Have a Way of Working Out", Just enforce the d*mn laws on the book and SEE what happens, it might not be so scary to some fearing migrant camps and another "Trail of Tears"..etc

"We can't deport them!"

Enforce the laws, end their ability to work and receive benefits, and they'll self-deport. We're seeing that in action, thanks to AZ.

“It just occurred to me that there is a big house on the South side of Chicago, financed with money from a current convict. It’s big and it’s empty. A lot of these folks could move into that house - Barack Obama’s house.”

Actually, that is exactly what is going to happen. I live in the suburbs of Chicago (DuPage County, very conservative). However, the city of Chicago itself is a sanctuary city, and believe me, a lot of those illegal aliens running away from AZ will be running to Chicago, to blend and get lost in the big city. Oh joy, oh joy.

Enforce the laws, end their ability to work and receive benefits, and they'll self-deport.

That would be a BIG thing here in California. Every time I see some of "the little men" (the little men who don't make eye contact with anyone, who travel singly but often in pairs, who are often seen wearing paint-stained sweatshirts) I wonder who is employing them. Are their employers even aware of AZSB170 and similar developments in other states? Are their employers even aware of existing state law that says the same thing?

California Penal Code, sec. 834:

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. (b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following: (1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status. (2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States. (3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity. (c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Send ‘em all to MA & RI. Once they have to clean the doo doo off of their laaaawns & find ‘em camping out on their yachts, they may see the wisdom of enforcing federal law...

Good idea but it wouldn't work.
As the illegals are:

In short, they'd be run out or burned out by the, 'tolerant', 'rich', 'mostly Jewish', 'progressives (commies)', in Hyde Park-Kenwood.

Yes, Calypso Louie's House is around there, but he's a 'special case'. He hates America too.

Ilive in Pennsylvania, you DON'T "got a friend in Pennsylvania." As my father would say, "beat it!"

Yes he does have a friend and his name is Nutter. Philadelphia recently moved to NOT cooperate with ICE.

Just received this chain-mail;)
___________________________________________________________

I don’t know if this is or is not true, but it is awesome!!

The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver, opposes AZ’s new immigration laws. Arizona’s Governor, Jan Brewer, released the following statement in response to Sarver’s criticism of the new law:

“What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn’t be ejected. Furthermore, what if Suns’ ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?”

-Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer

“Imagine....no illegals.”

Reminds of a song.

Imagine there’s no illegals.
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Just wait until other states start following Arizona’s lead and enforce immigration laws. The states are imploding financially and any additional burdens on them could create a huge crises. Tell the cops, firemen, teachers and other public employees that there are going to be layoffs or that they will have to work harder due to illegals and see how fast they support the laws. Joe and Jane Taxpayer will be screaming too.

OH NO!

CA don’t want em

UT don’t want em

TX don’t want em

PA don’t want em

I live in a BLUE liberal state that won’t pass a state law to expose illegals. Guess where they’ll head?

I don't know what or who is behind either end of Utah's quandary. Suffice to say they don't have a Brewer, yet. Which is kind of the point. The states I mention are not to the point AZ is, they may never be.
