This is excellent news. I’m cautiously hopeful about this mrace.
Definitely worth watching-literally. It doesn’t help that the GOP sent stiffs against Sandlin the last couple of elections. It made (and makes)her incumbency harder to deal with. Just keep the Libertarian Party candidate out of the debate(s). Last I heard S.D. was a red state.
Noem has a good chance of beating Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin. Stephanie is already running feel good ads showing her and her family in obvious South Dakota locations, but other than when shooting these commercials I doubt if her husband or son have ever visited the state. Noem has real South Dakota roots unlike Stephanie who hasn’t lived in South Dakota since she was in school. Like Tom Daschle she likes to talk about her South Dakota roots, but doesn’t show up in this state until election time.

It caught up with Tom Daschle in 2004. Hopefully, the Dakotas will return to their roots this year.
