Vladimir Putin has revealed he met and even sang patriotic Soviet songs with a group of Russian spies deported from America.
Mr Putin: 'We talked about life.'
Russia's prime minister, who served as a KGB agent, said the group included the young spy Anna Chapman and predicted they would have an "interesting, bright" future.
"I met with them. We talked about life. We sang. It was not karaoke but live music," Mr Putin told reporters during a visit to Ukraine.
"We sang From Where the Motherland Begins," a Soviet song made famous in the 1968 USSR film The Sword and the Shield, about a Soviet spy working in Nazi Germany.
The group of 10 spies, many of whom had been working for years undercover in the US as sleeper agents, returned to Russia earlier this month.
They were exchanged in a sensational spy swap that saw Moscow send four Russian convicts to the West.
The 10 Kremlin agents had been arrested in an FBI swoop that threatened to derail an improvement in Russia-US relations championed by Mr Putin's successor, President Dmitry Medvedev.
Mr Putin said the agents' cover had been blown as a result of "treason" and that he knew the names of those responsible.

"This was the result of treason and traitors, always end badly. They finish up as drunks, addicts, on the street," he said.
Many ex-KGB spies have criticised the espionage work of the 10 as shoddy and dated.
But Mr Putin indicated the deportees would not be left without employment. "They will work in worthy places. I do not doubt that they will have an interesting, bright life."

Putin is not that macho if he is riding a trike.
I think he just wants to get into Anna’s pants.
I think he just wants to get into Annas pants. LOL
A Russian hootenanny?
“I think he just wants to get into Annas pants.”
Who doesn’t?
He is a pu*sy if he rides a trike. Get on a real bike Vlad, like a Ducati.
Well, he’s actually acting like a president of a nation that actual looks out for its self-interests.
“Putin riding a Harley Davidson Lehman Trike near Sevastopol, Ukraine”
1. I didn’t know Harley made a trike.
2. It’s both hilarious and heart-warming that Russians want to have hard-driving, flag-waving Harley clubs to cruise around with. Just like in the good ol’ USA! USA! USA!
I wouldn’t knock all trikes in general.
A buddy of mine has a custom chopped one with a Chevy v6 motor. The thing is wild, has around 300 horse power. He has no idea just how fast it goes, has never wound it up all the way. But he loves smoking the tires and pulling wheelies.
There are some cool old (and new [pic]) Russian motorcycles.
I live in Eastern Europe and see them from time to time.
Russia/Soviet/Coldwar2 ping!!!

I think your friend someday may win the Darwin award on that thing. ;-)
I actually think those reverse trikes by Can Am (which I think is Bombarier) are cool. I say reverse because they have two front wheels.
Hah!
Although he clowns around with it every now and then, he’s really afraid of the thing, it has way too much power for him, he’s never taken it above 90. But it does look cool and sounds nasty. He sometimes tows his little bass boat with it.
There are crazier bikes yet. Boss Hoss makes a Chevy V8 502 c.i. version:

I’ve seen the 3 wheeled trykes you’re speaking of with the 2 wheels in front, I think the one I saw was a Can Am Spyder. Supposed to be very stable.
Ask your buddy if he would consider letting you take out a life insurance policy on him. Sounds like it could payoff. ;-)
Can Am Spyders. At first I was like ahh. I saw a few in the road and they are pretty cool. Not dorky but probably a bit safer than a regular bik.

Hey!, If she’s good enough for Laz, she ought to be good enough for Putin!
Employee meeting and songfest...
Thanks for the ping.
