Israel continues to be the demon poster-child of the Left. The prime example of a repressive regime and abuser of human rights. On the Left, people became outraged and agitated over Israel more than over any other cause. Israel’s supposed villainy will bring out protestors on cold, rainy days in a way no other issue can.

As you as you use ‘leftists’ and ‘reason’ in the same sentence, you have a flawed premise. If the left thought things through in a rational manner, they wouldn’t arrive at the conclusions they have. Reasoning to them is a convoluted game they play to justify their feelings.

Liberals and socialists have always hated Jews from the very beginning. Anti-semitism and hatred of Jews is imbedded in socialism, communism and anarchism.
