All this time, I have been thinking that the Tea Party is a grassroots movement of American patriots, and that there is no national leadership that controls the movement. All members and groups in the Tea Party are supposed to be equal.
Dick Armey's organization, the National Tea Party Federation, recently expelled the Tea Party Express, headed by Mark Williams. I do not remember any election by Tea Party members around the country, that chose Dick Armey to be the national leader of the Tea Party movement. Who does Dick Armey speak for? Does he speak for you, or for your local Tea Party movement? There is an attempt by establishment Republicans to hijack the Tea Party, in the same way in which the original conservative movement was hijacked by Rockefeller Republicans.
When William F. Buckley founded the conservative movement in 1955, it was supposed to be a movement challenging Republican President Dwight Eisenhower, for retaining the socialist New Deal economic policies that had been passed by FDR in the 1930s. But Buckley and his National Review magazine later abandoned conservatives, and became mouthpieces of the GOP/Rockefeller establishment.
All Tea Party organizations are independent, and are only answerable to their local members. No national organization that can claim to own the Tea Party movement in all 50 states. Dick Armey can only speak on behalf of his National Tea Party Federation, and not on behalf of any other Tea Party in the country.
Christian Coalition doesn’t exist in politics any more. The federal government went after it.
If you think the Republican Party or the Tea Party or this country can survive without tradtional values, then you’re posting on the wrong site.
I’m just saying that Taxed Enough is a libertarian party. If you want to push social values then the Tea Party is not for you. Now many such as Palin do but not at Tea Party events. Maybe go join up with the Huckleberry movement.
>>>>I don’t think we now need to start shooting anyone with a voice in the Tea Party
I agree with you. That is why I think the mistreatment of the Tea Party Express group was a disgrace. We can all disagree among ourselves. But liberals and the NAACP should not have any right to determine who should, or should not, be a member of the Tea Party movement.
“Dicks Army is indeed a party of one. I am sick of Armey lecturing us on how racist we are for wanting to secure the border and stop amnesty”
Armey sold out. He now sucks.

Beware: Rinos in Conservative clothing...DICK ARMEY
http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/search?q=Dick+Armey
[snip]I got one of Dick Armey’s mass emails today about the march in DC which his group helped to promote. He says, “WE DID IT”.
My reply:
WE???? MR.ARMEY!
95% of those people oppose your soft stand on illegal immigration and AMNESTY!
You should be ashamed of hijacking this movement, you were one of millions promoting this rally.
You’re fooling them, just like Obama fooled his voters....they don’t know you that well.
And you should have listened to Milton Friedman, when he looked you in the eye and told you that NAFTA was NOT Free Trade, it is ‘managed trade’. QUOTE!.... “managed’’ just like Obama wants the government to ‘manage’ everything!
Okay with me, LOL. You can have the Tea Party movement with no values and see what happens.
To paraphrase Alexander Haig:
“Who’s in charge? I’m in charge!”
RIP and Salute!

This is just political subterfuge at its ‘finest’ 2010, imo.
The left doesn’t know how to battle a ‘headless’ organization that is ripping ‘em a new one..
As to Rinos, sigh.. what a waste .. ‘green’ waste .. time to recycle this move to the middle and get back to business.. before the national debt hits 25 trillion.. we’re only at what? about 14 trillion now and with Obama’s Mo’Money Regime agenda, if he served 8 years .. but who’s worried about debt these days? hmmmm..
Certainly not Big Gubamint and the practitioners of their ‘religion’.? I don’t think so.. or Rinos.
If the numbers were evenly split or in our favor we could get something done. But conservatives are a minority in the Republican party at the leadership levels. Good luck to us all, we will need it.
Where do you come up with that?
We need to fight harder, and we ALL need to vote in every election. We need to go to our elected officials' offices and make sure they know us and know that we expect them to uphold the Constitution before all else.
A small, vocal minority can effect change. The progressives sure weren't the majority when they started and look where they are now.
We have 'way too many "conservatives" who want immediate results, and if they can't have their way right now they're going to take their marbles and go home. It doesn't work that way. Nothing is immediate.
We didn't get into this mess overnight; it is going to take time and a lot of hard work to get out of it.
Yes Gal, I’ll vote, don’t worry. Just in a mood about it right now. I’m not a stay-at-homer.
Cheers and thanks for your input.
