What a surprise. It seems that another far-left liberal actor has taken a role with the express intent being to smear a conservative icon. In this case, its Meryl Streep allegedly trying to dishonor and cheapen the accomplishments of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
How? By of all things, playing Thatcher in an upcoming film. According to The Daily Telegraph of London, the children of the former prime minister are appalled at what they have learnt about the film they think it sounds like some Left-wing fantasy.
When I was at the Pentagon, I had the honor to meet and help brief then-Prime Minister Thatcher. The woman I met was the personification of honor, integrity, determination, and patriotism. Precisely because of their conservative beliefs, she and Ronald Reagan demonstrably helped to shape the world for the better and many on the Left still hate them for it.
Sadly, and quite dangerously, because so much of the entertainment industry is controlled by the left, they have the power to rewrite history, denigrate conservative leaders and policy, exaggerate their own accomplishments, or just outright lie. While they claim artistic license, its really all about ideology, fear, and loathing.
Whats a conservative to do? Its rare that I can go to any mainstream Hollywood movie and not see a gratuitous shot being taken at Republicans, conservatives, or Christians. Those cheap shots hurt the bottom-line, as well as punish investors.
With regard to this far-left bias and disregard for investment, there is a parallel exhibited at most major daily newspapers. A senior editor at a well-known paper told me, My bosses didnt care about driving away conservative readers because it wasnt their money. For them, liberal ideology trumps profit or even staying in business.
That explanation also applies to the haters in Hollywood. Who cares if they drive down or eliminate profit by needlessly attacking conservatives or Christians. Its not their money.
Conservatives need to step into this arena in a big way. There are a number of conservative billionaires or multi-millionaires in our nation, but only a handful at best who are willing to invest in film or newspapers. Why?
For conservatives like me who also write fiction, I feel an obligation to wave the red flag of warning when appropriate within my novels or short stories. Each and every time I have, I have been attacked by the left. Three quick examples:
In my novel Americas Last Days -- which takes place a number of years in the future and depicts a revolution from within -- my characters talk about the just-completed war with Mexico started because of Mexicos militarization of our southwest border and the many incursions into sovereign U.S. territory by their military and drug cartels.
After the novel came out, I got numerous emails from those on the left accusing me of being a bigot, an alarmist and anti-Latino. My Hispanic-American wife was most amused by the last charge. Today, anarchy, chaos, and corruption reign in Mexico and the incursions into our sovereign territory by Mexican forces increase.
Next comes a short-story I was asked to write for Townhall Magazine for their September 2008 edition. I was asked to fictionalize what it might be like two years into an Obama administration. In the body of my short story, I imagined (among other things which have come to pass) a car-bomb being detonated in Times Square.
Again came the emails from the left attacking me for being a racist and an alarmist. Of course, when the real Jihadist Times Square bomber was stopped by luck three months ago, no emails from the far-left.
Last is my just-released novel entitled Vengeance Is Mine. In the body of the book, my traditional values private investigator weaves in a potentially very serious charge against a former liberal president and the fact that the current liberal president is actively trying to take our guns and ammo as he tries to swing our Republic hard left. Once again, the hate-filled emails have come my way.
On the creative front, conservatives must not shy away from defending our values and our vision for our nation. For the moment, Meryl Streep and the far-left control much of the message.
Its up to conservatives, moderates and independents to change that destructive dynamic. Words do matter.
Gee, I guess ending the cold war without firing a shot and freeing all of Europe from totalitarianism really pissed off Meryl Strep? You think she liked Hitler or something? Shoosh.

Have they seen W? What do they expect from these nutjobs?
There is not a single thing that recommends these people - I've scraped more admireable material off the bottom of my shoe.
Mrs. Thatcher is a woman of honor, a patriot and a leader. No wonder the silly, vapid twits in Hollywood would dishonor her, they no nothing of such things.
LOOKS like a perfect match.
Suit claims widow of Wharton firefighter was born a man (Houston Chronicle (NYTimes of the South) ^ | July 18, 2010, 10:24PM | PAIGE HEWITT)
"The family of a Wharton firefighter who died battling a massive egg farm blaze is fighting to keep his widow from receiving death benefits, arguing that the 37-year-old had found out his bride of two years was born a man."

Margaret Thatcher, in a TV interview for Thames TV This Week on Feb. 5, 1976, said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."
Political films like this nearly always fail anyway, it just a question of how much money the political operators behind it are willing to lose.
In the next month, her children should go on every news show imaginable in the next month and tell the world what a joke the story is. It will poison the film before it even gets made.
If Reds continue to smear conservatives, especially to defend Communism, you have to conclude that it is because they love Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Kruschev, Castro, et al.
Stalin alone killed more people than Hitler (20 million compared with 10 million).
Yet the Left does not find Stalin to be as evil as Hitler. Go figure.
I’ve always found Streep films to be excrutiatingly boring anyway. Now I see why they talked her up as a supposedly good actress — she’s far left of course. Politically reliable = “great” acress.
The Margret Thatcher will bomb commercially yet probably still be nominated for several Oscars including Best Actress for Streep.
The Academy Awards have become an intellectual masturbation session for the Hollywood left anyway.
The film may bomb commercially, but I recall what someone else conjectured about the Oliver Stone thug-hugging documentaries. They are really intended for lefty high-school teachers across the land to force their students to sit through on class time.

You silly goose. Didn’t you see “Charlie Wilson’s War”? According to Aaron Sorkin, the Cold War was won single-handedly by a democrat congresscritter with Clintonian personal habits.
Ronald Reagan? Margaret Thatcher? Who they?
Nazism was just socialism with more overt racism. However, at least the Nazis were more honest about their intentions than the Communists ever were or ever have been. Perhaps that was why the Nazis met their downfall sooner and are now almost universally despised as history's bad guys. Because their greater honesty and the sheer brazenness of their wicked deeds made it impossible for the left to apologise for them and be taken seriously. I have no doubt in my mind that the left would damn Stalin as a right-wing extremist if they could. But those on the left who are not Stalin apologists generally tend to see him as a cynical imposter who was pretending to be a communist or socialist so he could satiate his lust for power. However, even the most agile of leftist mental gymnasts would struggle to credibly portray Stalin as a right-winger, despite their roaring success in applying the label to Hitler and the Nazis and transferring the taint of the latter on to the right wing ideological spectrum they so despise....
Worldwide political correctness continues to, successfully, prevent true, political balance from actually happening, worldwide! A leftist slanted MSM, worldwide, a leftist slanted entertainment world, political indoctrination in schools, worldwide, the “dumbing down” of the general public, worldwide, the creation of “man made global warming/cooling”, worldwide, judicial activism, worldwide,...Where are all of the political groups/think-tanks that will, finally, put an end to all of this pro-leftist favoritism, worldwide, and pro-leftist abuses of power, worldwide?

Meryl Streep Likely To Portray Margaret Thatcher As Depressed, Dementia-Ridden
A new movie chronicles Thatcher’s life, mostly from “the recent past,” and highlights the “power and the price that is paid for power.” Right now, Meryl Streep is likely to star as Thatcher.
Cameron McCracken, the managing director of the film-maker Pathe, told the Telegraph that Thatcher’s health won’t be glossed over, but that it will be treated with appropriate sensitivity.” The film will be fictional, but “fair and accurate.
You can create whatever reality you want with that kind of statement.
Conservatives have the most disposable income-by far. Why there are not a string of conservative universities (I can see a lot of parents refusing to spend their money on anything but a conservative university) or tv/movie studios is beyond me.
I decided not to watch when I heard that Meryl Streep would be playing Prime Minister Thatcher. I expected her to ruin the portrayal, whether or not the director wanted that outcome.
I won’t watch it either
