TANCREDO: The case for impeachment
The Washington Times ^ | July 22, 2010 | Tom Tancredo

Posted on 07/23/2010 2:20:46 AM PDT by Bad~Rodeo

Eleven years ago, like every citizen elected to serve in Congress or any person appointed to any federal position, I swore an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic."

I've always thought it significant that the Founders included domestic enemies in that oath of office. They thought liberty was as much at risk from threats within our borders as from outside, and French political thinker and historian Alexis de Tocqueville agreed with that warning.

In the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the greatest threat to our nation was clear - and foreign. While Islamic terrorism still represents the greatest external threat to America and American lives, the avowed program of the Obama regime has changed the picture in a fundamental way.

For the first time in American history, we have a man in the White House who consciously and brazenly disregards his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. That's why I say the greatest threat to our Constitution, our safety and our liberties, is internal. Our president is an enemy of our Constitution, and, as such, he is a danger to our safety, our security and our personal freedoms.

Barack Obama is one of the most powerful presidents this nation has seen in generations. He is powerful because he is supported by large majorities in Congress, but, more importantly, because he does not feel constrained by the rule of law. Whether he is putting up the weakest possible defense of the Defense of Marriage Act despite the Justice Department's legal obligation to support existing law; disenfranchising Chrysler and GM bondholders in order to transfer billions of investor dollars to his supporters in the United Auto Workers;

Something I don’t see discussed very often is in my opinion something that flies under the radar—people sense Obama doesn’t like this country and cares more about non-Americans.

It’s fun for liberal and liberal-leaners to fantasize about evil white male Americans blah blah blah getting theirs, but in reality I think it makes a lot of people think, “Well, this actually impacts my life” on an elemental level.

Too bad Tancredo isn’t still in the House to be able to bring impeachment proceedings.

On July 16 I posted the following:

According to the Oath of office of the President of the United States:

“ I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States

He's breaking his oath and should be impeached

That’s what I always wonder. There was some strangeness at the imaculation. Then he had to do it over again - in private. Everything about the guy - and everything he does - is strange.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague".” ~~Marcus Tullius Cicero

I used to read 60’s black radical lit in high school. When I heard that Obammy considerd Franklin Marshall Davis his “mentor”, my stomach dropped.

Chief Justice Roberts muffed a line, and the inauguration oath had to be repeated. I’m certain CJ Roberts would not be involved in witnessing a false oath.

A better argument is that Zero does not plan to keep his oath.

“Well, this actually impacts my life” on an elemental level."

That was a profound thought!

The Left will still accuse you and your friends of villainy if you are critical of this administration.

Stay well!

AND, let's not forget Obama's "PRESIDENTIAL ASSASSINATION PROGRAM" whereby American citizens are targeted for killings far away from any battlefield, based exclusively on UNCHECKED ACCUSATIONS by the Executive Branch that they're involved in Terrorism.

Not on his own accord, but considering all the rest of the craziness that’s gone on....isn’t it possible that Roberts had no choice in the matter?

BO/BS cannot be impeached. Only a President can be impeached. BO/BS is not President since he is not a natural born citizen per the requirement in Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution and therefore is illegally occupying the Oval Office. The appropriate method has been done by serving citizen Grand Jury Presentments nationwide against him, Pelosi and the DNC for fraud, voter fraud and treason. Pressure needs to continue with Grand Jury Presentments.

Since it was Roberts who administered the Oath of Office, I do believe that you’re correct that he had to re-administer it to correct a flub that occurred.

It didn’t seem that the flub was deliberate but rather a bit of confusion. None of which means that Zero is living up to his oath to protect our country.
