The gubernatorial race in Arkansas is a little closer this month, but Democratic incumbent Mike Beebe still leads his Republican challenger by 10 points.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Beebe picking up 50% support, while Republican Jim Keet earns 40% of the vote. Three percent (3%) prefer a different candidate in the race, and seven percent (7%) are undecided.
The latest numbers mark Beebe's lowest level of support in three Rasmussen Reports surveys conducted this year. Last month, he held a 57% to 33% lead over Keet. In mid-May, Beebe led 53% to 38%.

Here’s another once-safe ‘Rat who’s losing ground. I read up on Jim Keet many years ago and he struck me as one of the more innovative conservatives. I hope he wins.
Another promising poll ping.
OK, everyone, listen up: save your money. Don’t bother to donate to Keet. He doesn’t have a hope in Hell. Use your money somewhere that it might gain us a seat. This race isn’t one of them.
Oh,yeah, one more thing: flame away...
;). And if the next poll says 45-45?
The economy’s relatively good here, Beebe is VERY popular, even among Repubs. We have a balanced state budget (mandated by our constitution); I could go on...I was only trying to save potential donors to Keet some money. Beebe WILL win by a comfortable margin, regardless of how much money Keet has.
