McConnell Won’t Campaign for GOP Candidate (Sharon Angle) Running Against Dem Leader in Nevada

(CNSNews.com) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will not campaign for Sharron Angle, the Republican Senate candidate in Nevada running against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), according to a senior Republican aide.

“He’s helping Republicans all over the map, but he’s not going to Nevada,” the senior Republican aide told CNSNews.com when asked if McConnell was going to campaign on behalf of Angle.

In explaining why the Republican minority leader was not campaigning against the Democratic Senate majority leader, the aide said, “It's pretty standard Senate procedure – for example, Reid didn't go to [Kentucky]” to campaign against McConnell

Schumer also said, "Let me say this: We did not go after Kentucky's seat any more or less because Mitch McConnell was the party leader. We went after it like any other seat. We tried to be strategic here and figure out which seats we had the best chance at and focus on them.”

The Collectivists are Thelma.

The Republicans are Louise.

At the end of the movie, they’re in the same car and it doesn’t matter who’s driving.

That airplane was wasted on a field in PA!

That's a DISGUSTING thing to say!! My younger sister prays every day for the heroic folks who took over that plane, because her only child was working in the US Capitol that day, as an employee of the Secretary of the Senate. But for the heroism of the passengers on United 93, her son could possibly have died on 9/11.

This is why we need to exercise “term limits” with our vote. This little fraternity of insiders is unhealthy and unwise for a Free Republic.

The political cronies are destroying our representative republic. They only represent each other, the lobbies and their self-interests. Time for McConnell and others like him to retire and move away from the Capital.

Remember November...get out the vote.

I’m sure Cornyn is backing Reid too.

Thank you for posting this. It reminded me to send a contribution to Angle today.

To win, we NEED to help finance elections. When the party seems to be out of touch, contribute to the candidate.

This just sums it up. Obamacare, Wall Street “Reform” and 2 supreme court nominees already rammed through Congress and the Republican leadership does not feel the need to go to full battle stations. On deck is Amnesty, Cap n tax, VAT, etc. We are on the Eve of Destruction of over 200 years of American Heritage. And Republicans won’t go all in.

Disgusting.

By the way, Reid is a dirt bag. If the people of Nevada don’t see this and do something about him, they are no better than he is and deserve to have a failing economy, no jobs and a tanking housing industry....

Obama’s boycott of corporate parties in Las Vegas is just the tip of the economic collapse of the State of Nevada. Reid never said a word about Obama’s cheap shot and he won’t stand up for Nevada in the future.

Nevada...you have a chance here to make a difference for your State and the country. I hope you choose wisely.

Remember November....get out the vote.

If I’m Sharron Angle, this has to be good news.

Hey now, there were a lot of very hard working, true patriots in the Capitol and Congressional office buildings that day, myself among them.

This is just the millionth example of the 'old boy' network in the senate where they pretend to be some kind of Victorian 'Gentleman's Club' - when it suits them.

I've no doubt that Mitch McConnell has little-to-no interest in helping elect a conservative senator to replace Harry Reid and while he many not be Harry's best buddy, they share the same kind of mindset regarding observance of the senate 'decorum'. To me, that translates to: "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". People like McConnell are what is wrong with the congressional Republicans. They all have to go!

Sarah Palin’s shoulders surely must be sore from toting the GOP’s water all the time.

That is because McConnell is such an ineffective leader and the Democrats like it that way. As long as they keep him in that position, they will own the Republicans.
