Video: Police Idle as Homosexualists Terrorize Small Children at Providence Pro-Family Rally

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, July 21, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Unhampered by police, a peaceful pro-life rally devolved into chaos Sunday after an army of homosexualist activists shouted down presenters, screamed insults, and even targeted for harrassment small children of families who had come in support of marriage between a man and a woman.

A group organized by Queer Action Rhode Island began by chanting loudly through bullhorns as they approached the rally, organized by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) as part of the month-long Summer for Marriage Tour 2010, in front of the State Capitol building.

But, according to NOM executive director Brian Brown, it became clear that "this was not going to be a normal counter-protest" when the 250-strong red-shirted crowd "kept coming forward" until police gave way and allowed the screaming crowd to flood the stage and podium - for which NOM had obtained a permit from the state.

One horrifying incident caught on video shows a protester pointing off-camera and shouting angrily: "You better watch that kid or we're gonna kidnap him!" Others shouted directly at children as young as 4, calling them "Mommy's little bigot" and other such slurs, said Brown.

I saw lots of small children at the Tea Party event I attended. Why should kids not learn early what our American system is about? I always took my kids with me when I voted too.

Sorry, I think it’s a very unwise thing to do. You may be peaceful, tc. yor movement may be peaceful, etc. but you have no control over opposition groups/people who may become violent or even create a riot.

Also, 4 year olds are too young to understand. I think it actuallly constitutes cruelty to have any small child in a situation that is not specifically for children — I am sick of seeing small children being dragged through supermakets, department stores while parents shop for themselves, etc. People treat their children as if they are accessories, not small humans with a still-developing nervous system and a limited capacity to analyze information.

“Video: Police Idle as Homosexualists Terrorize Small Children at Providence Pro-Family Rally”

I’m about 99.99% sure that the video was filmed in Albany, New York, and not Providence, Rhode Island. If so, then there is a hugh disconnect that draws in to question the accurracy of the article.

I didn’t treat my kids like hothouse flowers, they went where I went. They were expected to behave, and I didn’t let them run around out of control. How do you think kids learn to behave in public places? But more to the point, my kids learned early that voting was very important, they went with me and got to observe the process. I’m sorry you think kids should be shielded from those things. BTW, it can be dangerous anywhere you go. That’s part of life.

Unfortunately, what these kids are learning is that people can threaten to kidnap them (and do worse, much worse!) and their parents are either unable or unwilling to challenge them.

Yes, the police will stand by and let this sort of thing go on...and that's a much-needed lesson for kids. (No sarcasm at all.) But if a parent's behavior puts doubt in the mind of his child, he'd have done better to leave the kid at home with someone who'll protect him.

I learned a great deal about my father and about manliness from just two confrontations in which he was engaged. No, he wasn't a "brawler", nor was there a brawl. But in a situation such as portrayed in this video, unless the danger was so great and imminent that flight was the prudent option, he'd have stood up and shut down these child-raping degenerates threatening kids. And all the kids who witnessed it would've learned a great deal that day.

If we think the war over our children will be won by chanting, "This is the face of tolerance! This is the face of tolerance!", we'll lose not only the battles but our children as well - and perhaps deservedly so.

Understanding that small children are different from adults is not treating them like hothouse flowers.

Of course there is the potential for danger everywhere, but large crowds that might atract angry oppenents are among the most fraught with danger, not to mention unpleasantness. Anger and emotional violence are also dangerous — why does a 4 year old need to be exposed to it? Juat as you would not allow him to watch a gory violent movie — there is such a thing as trauma for children, and being aware of it and protecting them from it is not treating them like hothouse flowers.

I learned that voting was important without ever going with my parents to vote.

Yeah, ‘tolerance’. They don’t mind menacing young kids? Imagine what that might have looked like from a young child’s point of view - a menacing face leaning down to sneer at them? Even if they didn’t get the sarcasm or meaning of the words, the effect must have been frightening. Haven’t they heard they’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar? Ie showing up as a happy gay couple with their own young kids and minding their own business would have made the difference, yet they couldn’t constrain their own menace and anger, even around children. Aaah, tolerance.

I doubt the parents thought there was going to be a hostile group allowed to invade their preplanned and approved rally. I doubt these kids were traumatized. Sheesh, kids can be pretty tough. If you protect your child from all of the potential *scary* things in life, you are doing them no favor. However, I respect your right NOT to take your child to places you think might be traumatic.

I turn 65 next month. When my son was small, had someone menaced him like the sexual degenerates did those chilcren, I would have latered that person's future, changed the life ahead for them, and set an example that now has been too long unset.

In todays world, had someone stepped up and done what was needed, the 'police' would have been there to move back the crowd where one or two dead degenerates could be found and one possibly bery damaged parent ... these demonic scum run in packs for a reason. They want confrontation to get violent, just as SEIU now seeks to generate violence at any Tea Party rallies.

This fall is going to get very hot and sticky as the degenerates see their enablers in danger of being out of jobs.

Sorry but I question the wisdom of bringing one’s underage kids to rallies like this where there will be counter-protestors. Unless it is all part of the plan—it’s a better photo-op to have homosexuals yelling at kids instead of yelling at Grandma.

Probably won’t hurt an adult. If you want to cause some pain, carry a can of oven cleaner with lye. It will eat the clothes right off someone. You have to be serious however - lye in the eyes can permanently blind someone.

It is however, one of the few things that will even stop someone high on drugs. You have to look, its getting hard to find oven cleaner that still has lye in it, but its there if you look hard enough.

Didn’t see you here. Sorry, no Catholic priest involved, but I thought you may be interested given your defense of children.
