This morning, The Daily Caller posted a story about an email message radio publicist Sarah Spitz reportedly sent to Journolist, a now-defunct listserv.
"If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond?" The Daily Caller article began. "As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would."
--snip--
I made poorly considered remarks about Rush Limbaugh to what I believed was a private email discussion group from my personal email account. As a publicist, I realize more than anyone that is no excuse for irresponsible behavior. I apologize to anyone I may have offended and I regret these comments greatly; they do not reflect the values by which I conduct my life.

Well, that was a pretty tepid apology to Rush and his 20,000,000+ listeners many of whom were appalled at the comment, and as conservatives, would be regardless the object of her murderous vitriol.
And yes, what she suggested that she would do is murder. That’s a real Joe Stalin/Pol Pot/Adolph Hitler attitude. Just kill ‘em if they don’t agree with you.
Who is offended or even surprised? The word Offended doesn't even begin to describe it. I take these attacks on Rush, Mark Levin, Matt Drudge and Ann Coulter as attacks on me, my family and the American way of life. These non-apology apologies are just part of the game book of the statist scum. I will seek to destroy them. Politically speaking of course. No apology will be offered.

Horse hockey! She knew EXACTLY what she was saying, and to whom. I don’t accept her “apology”, because it Normal people are offended because she is an unrepentant bigot.
The real truth is she would just keep texting on her phone and step right over the body of anyone!
Except Rush, of course.
Allow me to employ my liberal to conservative translator: "I sent my email to the wrong place. It makes me look bad. I'm sorry you are all so stupid that I have to pretend to apologize. Can I go now?"
“Its always enlightening when a liberal looter says what they really believe, isnt it?”
You can bet that the only thing that this low life piece of crap is “sorry for” is the fact that her comments went public.
I guess that the thing that really frosts me is that NPR is (1) constantly begging that we help support their “quality” broadcasting, yet (2) they are first in line to grab those tax dollars that we the people are forced to cough up.
I have gotten to the point where my contempt and loathing of libtards is only surpassed by my love of God, Guns and Country.
Best that one (or any) of those idiots stay the hell out of my way, come election day.
You hit it. That is the sum and substance of every liberal "apology."
Maybe some day she will be clutching her heart and no one will help.
She doesn't drink beer, but probably would drink this:
I'm not buying it.
Character is defined by what you do when no one is looking (or when you think no one is looking).
Since you believed you were in a "private email discussion group from my personal email account", this is an example of your character.
Which stinks, by the way.
==radio publicist Sarah “Loogie” Spitz==
In my experience, remarks that you make in private, especially when you believe them to be private, tend to much more closely reflect your true values than the more guarded remarks that you make with the full understanding that they are subject to scrutiny and glare of public view.
>>I made poorly considered remarks about Rush Limbaugh<<
Deliberate, nonetheless. But, don’t worry - I post drunk, too.
>>...to what I believed was a private email discussion group from my personal email account.<<
So your public comments are vastly different from private? WTG, two-faced hateful witch..
>> As a publicist<<
Another one who chose PR because they couldn’t pass 9th grade math
>>...I realize more than anyone that is no excuse for irresponsible behavior.<<
Once sobered up & facing the repercussions, that is.
>>...I apologize to anyone I may have offended and I regret these comments greatly;<<
Yadda Yadda - lifted right from the Libbie Mea Culpa Playbook - Only because your hateful comments were made public, do you regret making them.
>>..they do not reflect the values by which I conduct my life...<<
Private moments are when one tends to be most honest. So, were you lying privately to your pals, or is your public apology the lie?
Sorry for the long post, folks - they just make it too easy!
At least she really said it, they claim to be able to read Tea Party members’ minds to know that they’re “racist”.
The battle lines have been drawn and the first shot was fired a long time ago. It's too late for words. The war is on. Let's stop acting surprised when the enemy bombards us. And let's stop apologizing when we return fire.
This mock civility is making me ill.
“She doesnt work for NPR. She works for a local radio station and helps produces a show that is picked up by some NPR stations.”

Apparently so. NPR couldn’t backpeddle away from her fast enough. Judging from the commentary on the article, NPR’s listeners weren’t too sympathetic. Gracious! Talk about the gift that keeps on giving. I can’t wait to see what Tucker tosses out tomorrow.
Exactly right. I’d be happy to cut this gal some slack if her apology weren’t so conditional.
I suspect that if one of us made a snide and inappropriate remark about an NPR person - Diane Rehm, say - that we would not get off as easily as this. Because, after all, she’s someone they worship and adore, whereas as Rush is still (in their view) evil incarnate.
