Three times since 2000, Republican Rod Beck failed in his bid to rejoin the state Senate, defeated by primary election rivals he insists didn't support party ideals. So Beck opted to change Idaho's GOP from within.
they crafted a platform that urges Idaho to seize federal land, recommends ending popular elections of U.S. senators and sings the praises of gold and silver - an inflation hedge to U.S. Federal Reserve-issued greenbacks.

Some see Idaho’s convention, where delegates came just shy of backing an unregulated state militia, as evidence of a movement to reset the U.S. Constitution’s clock.

Wow! I’m impressed, especially to the reaction from Stegner’s support of 2 constitutional (Idaho) changes that would allow local governments to come up with financing public projects without the vote of the people. Hooray for Idaho!

Stegner was pelted with the worst insult most on hand could imagine..."You're a Democrat," a woman shouted. Good heavens! And gunfire didn't ensue? What a thing to say!
Some of the local Dems seem to think that Minnick has a lock because the other guys are just too radical...for here? Somebody has a little surprise coming in November.

It seems voting down tax increases at special elections a couple times a year does not send a clear enough message.

Our government is so far from a constitutional government that there literally is no way to get back to it through the current process.

"They are resurrecting an old and rejected doctrine of constitutional law - attempting to resurrect state supremacy - the same viewpoint that plunged the nation into Civil War," said David Adler, an U.S. Constitution expert at Idaho State University in Pocatello. "It's very provocative." I imagine Adler cringing under his desk while making these statements.

"The Republican Party runs the risk of being seen as radical and will now have a more difficult time trying to attract people more from the central part of the political spectrum," Stegner said. The RINO core of the problem!
Dear Mr. Stegner,
We are not rooting for a football team, you idiot. Winning at the cost of abandoning principal is not the goal, defending the Constitution is.
Sincerely,

I don't know what precise meaning you are giving "reset." What we have actually been working toward is federal "compliance with" the US Constitution.
Isn't it ironic that in the 1860's "Washington" was working to free slaves. Here in the early part of the 21st Century the "Washington" of today is working to enslave us.
