The Olympia Food Co-op announced last week that no more Israeli products will be sold at its two grocery stores.
Last week, the board of directors of the Olympia Food Co-op in Washington state decided that no more Israeli products will be sold at its two grocery stores in the city.
"We met last Thursday for the board members meeting and a pretty large group about 40 people presented the boycott project and answered our questions," Rob Richards, a board member, told Haaretz. "A couple of board members were concerned about what will be the financial effect on the organization, but its minimal. For me personally there is a moral imperative that goes beyond any financial concern. So we decided to adopt the boycott which went into effect the next day."
Asked whether the boycott includes all products made in Israel, or only in settlements, Richards explained: "As far as I know it concerns any Israeli products. We exempted "Peace Oil" its a joint product produced by the Palestinian farmers. Any product that is made by the company that works to improve the conditions of the Palestinians will be exempted."
Richards says the decision drew no protests.

Just where does this idea that kissing their butts will make them respect us come from?
A nice new shopping mall opened today in Gaza: Will the media report on it? Will the Western media show these images?

She made great track lube.

Actually the word is “Himmelfahrt.”
Any comments from Leftist Jewish organizations like the ADL or the AJC?
(crickets chirping...)
Wow.... now that’s a real sacrifice for them....
“Yep, but I hear they are also Rachel Corrie free too.”
Presumably smells a lot better without the little terrorist.
That’s the important point. It should be noted that sales of Israeli products at that store had been rather flat.
Boycotts work both ways. Anyone going to join me in boycotting the Olympia Food Co-Op?
boy WA is quite the State-illegal alien shelter cities, cities banning oil sands products, easy on marijuana possession, large population of homosexuals and now anti Israeli...sounds like an Obama test market.
This past weekend I took my family to Barton Spring park to go swimming. Out front were a few kids waving around Free Gaza signs and asking people to sign petitions.
Not to waste a good opportunity in front of quite a few people I said, “This is great! I can’t believe people are finally getting it.” All these little Marxists were all happy that I was on the same page with them. My wife put her head in her hands because she knew what was coming next.
I walk up to the girl with the Rachel Corrie shirt on,(Didn’t want to do the Che thing) take the pen and while I am signing a false name I say, “People who finally believe that the Palestinians need to go back to Jordan. That someone is finally smart enough to know that Trans Jordan was separated into two states back in 48. That freeing Gaza of all those foul smelling terrorists is the best thing that can happen to peace.”
I drop the pen and petition and in front of everyone say, “this is what you are learning in school? How to be an uninformed useful idiot?”
A big round of applause ensued. When we left the pool they were no where to be found.
Lol! Heehee!
If you look on the Leftist list of all the companies that should be boycotted because they do significant work in Israel you will always find Intel.
Yet these hypocrites somehow fail to boycott anything with Intel inside: Macs and PC’s.
They are so brave in their boycotts when they boycott the product of tiny entities that are just struggling to make a living but never when it would cause these proponents of boycotts any real hardship.
These are worthless human beings. I have no time for people like these. They are typical for the area they live in. I wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire.
