News Media Blackout of Firing of Racist Obama Agriculture Appointee

As of 10:00 p.m. EDT, hours after Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack fired Shirley Sherrod for racism in her official duties after being exposed by BigGovernment.com there is a near total blackout by the mainstream news media on the scandal.
Sherrod was appointed a year ago by Vilsack to be the Georgia director of Rural Development where she doled out millions of dollars in federal funds.
Just days before her appointment, the Obama Justice Department settled a lawsuit by Sherrod and her husband claiming discrimination against their farm cooperative for a reported $13 million.
A search of Google News and Google Blogs shows nothing form the Associated Press or Reuters. Nothing from Politico or The Hill. Nothing from The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times. Nothing from MSNBC or CNN. Nothing from ABC or NBC. CBS gets partial credit for running a story earlier about Sherrod's racist remarks but has failed to follow up with the story of her firing.
Credit goes to Fox News for reporting the story and updating it with news of Sherrod's termination:
The Agriculture Department announced Monday, shortly after FoxNews.com published its initial report on the video, that Sherrod had resigned.
"There is zero tolerance for discrimination at USDA, and I strongly condemn any act of discrimination against any person," Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a written statement. "We have been working hard through the past 18 months to reverse the checkered civil rights history at the department and take the issue of fairness and equality very seriously."
Sherrod was videotaped at an NAACP dinner in March of this year speaking about an incident where she discriminated against a white farmer while acting in her offical capacity because she is black and is prejudiced against white farmers.
Big Government broke the story with video to back it up around mid-day. The failure of the mainstream media to touch this story even after Sherrod was forced to resign and was publicly rebuked by an Obama cabinet secretary is a shameful example of the censorious nature of the liberal mainstream media.

There was an vanity posted a few hours ago to the effect that if the MSM doesn't report something, it didn't happen.
Its true. There will be no story here, as there wasn't when J Christian Adams resigned.
No story, no outrage. And the progressives will grow increasingly corrupt.

Shirley Sherrod?
There never was a Shirley Sherrod.

How convenient. I wonder if her appointment was part of the settlement?
Now we know why they threw her overboard so quickly.

Odd how the effing Washington Post missed this story... and every other story doing with racism that doesn't have blacks as victims.
Ya think there bias at the Washington Post? Maybe their too busy having parties with their advertisers... oh wait - I mean with their liberal pol friends...

"Just days before her appointment, the Obama Justice Department settled a lawsuit by Sherrod and her husband claiming discrimination against their farm cooperative for a reported $13 million." And how much of that figure found it's way back into the coffers of the Democrat party and their allies?

Maybe MSDNC can splice her picture in at a tea party rally to continue the farce of racist tea party members. Maybe add in a decrying from the Tea Party Federation how the Tea Party Express should stop stalling and distance themselves from this racist.

If you do a Google search of her name in the news section it shows over 1100 articles but then click on the link to the articles and all of them are “Tea Party Racist” and only a couple mentions of her.

"Just days before her appointment, the Obama Justice Department settled a lawsuit by Sherrod and her husband claiming discrimination against their farm cooperative for a reported $13 million." Whoa. Smells like fraud/abuse/corruption/payoff. Hope Holder investigates. If not, congress should jump on it.

Oh they didn’t miss the story. I emailed the stinkin’ link to ‘em. They can’t claim ignorance on this one. They know about it all right. Emailed it to CNN too.
On the other hand, has the reporting about perceived racism by Tea Partiers stopped now? Now that their side is actually very, very guilty of discrimination based on skin color?
