She was telling the audience to work for the government and they won’t get fired. But something tells me her resignation wasn’t voluntary.

What I recall hearing on the video was her talking about federal employees not being subject to layoffs, and she does have a point here. When was the last time you heard of layoffs of civil-service federal employees?

I was thinking about that. She took pleasure in the collapse of this guy's livelihood. If she had done this to a particularly distraught person, they could have killed themselves.

Two fellows ~ Kweisi Mfume and LeRoy Warren moved in on the NAACP in an effort to open it up to younger people and fix some disastrous financial problems ~ those annual conventions had become positively geriatric, and too many of the members with the power on the Board were mentally stuck in the Wilson regime.

They did manage to clean up many of the administrative problems. LeRoy is still on the Board and Kweisi moved on. However, once he was out, and both had turned into old guys themselves, their factions were driven from the stage by a more radical, and uneducated faction that really knew nothing of the organization's real purpose and its history.

Actually, that ain't all bad ~ when conditions have changed to the degree that your most radical factions don't really remember what they were like at the beginning, success is at hand.

This Sharrod thing suggests the 5% criminal class continues to prosper ~ but maybe not as much if someone like that can get same-day firing service.
