AP changed the title:
BP, feds clash over reopening capped Gulf oil well
--------------------------------------
Both could be signs there are leaks in the well that's been capped off for three days.
The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Sunday because an announcement about the next steps had not been made yet.
If the leakage is related to the current well wouldn’t the pressure be starting to drop?
Someone needs to kick his ass all the way to his eyeballs. I can't think of a dumber, lazier, more arrogant jerk who has no clue about anything.
It is a good thing he is good at partying, playing and vacationing or else he would be worthless.
I think we are missing the big picture here. The Obama administration ordered BP to open the valves and pollute the gulf for 3 days so they can measure the flow for liability reasons.
BP resisted so this anonymous story by Thad Allen is to justify reopening the pollution. Note he will not give any info about the supposed seeping,
This is a maJor scandal in the making.
Sounds like the beginning of any number of disaster movies. Even has an evil corporation and government officials!
AP and Yahoo are as close to a non sourced story as you can get.
POST OF THE DAY!!!
I think you have it. There is now a pi$$ing contest between the feds and BP over whether to try and produce the well or shut it in completely.
Have you seen that picture of him at a white house ball wearing that ridiculous green suit with the huge $ sign bling hanging off his neck?
yes, open the valves, get the oil to the ships above, sell oil.
So...explain to me again why they aren’t allowing a controlled flow to surface ships? ——Just to relieve pressure until the relief wells are done?
The well is not designed to sit in the condition it is for an extended period of time. They have to reopen it and the decision of when that happens lies directly in the governments hands. There is no political will to make hard decisions so the only consideration is the easiest path to blame somebody else... be that BP or a former president.

AMEN!
Aha, what a shocker. Now what did I post 2 days ago? Didn’t I say after Odungo’s vacation that this would be the next news? I saw it leaking from the seabed. I don’t care what they say. As soon as it showed it the ROV was shut off. That was a month ago. I don’t want to hear it was sediment from the movement of the ROV. I know what that looks like. There was no sediment it was black oil. Not gushing, seeping.
Thad Allen is a big clown, a dupe, and a scapegoat.
What a way to end his illustrious career as a Coast Guard hack!
I want your crystal ball!
I could make a fortune on the Lottery.
OH MAN we are all going to die again!
