Tonight, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will debate his primary challengers, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) and conservative "tea party" activist Jim Deakin in one of only two Republican primary debates.
During the one hour debate, Hayworth will likely concentrate on McCain's 28 years in Congress with a focus on his position on immigration. Deakin said he will compare and contrast his approach in representing constituents to the "other two entrenched politicians." A McCain campaign spokesman said that the Senator "looks forward to a spirited discussion on the issues facing Arizonans."
The LIVE debate will take place tonight at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.
Deakin: When we send the Military to police the World, that’s an Obamanation...

You folks have been GREAT. I had the live feed going, but I just couldn’t bear to hear McCain’s voice. Made me feel ill. So I turned it off and just followed the comments. Thanks to *everyone* who posted!! You guys are the best!
Loved the comment on unemployment. “We do need a safety net not a hammock”
If the debate determined the winner of the primary - JD won in a landslide!
I mean that seriously too and even handedly.

Deaken is the ONLY one who made any logical sense.
I wish he had done better competing against Hayworth, but in the end, I think Hayworth is going to win this one.
jd is a very good orator.
“damn, two push ups now.”
Well...IF that is the only choice I have, pour me a Drambuie!

JD just collared McCain on tax cuts, said he voted for them, but McCain voted against them.
