“Yeah, they are. I picked up one for $13 at Big Lots which Im going to install on my front porch.”
Well the ones they use in business and actually expect to work are generally $100 to $1,000 each. The DVR systems used to managed and track all the cameras get quite pricey as well. Then there’s running cable and sometimes power through the big stores.
But hey, big lots has it all covered.

You forgot no consequences. That appears to be the case in Clark County. From the article:
...Clark County's coroner inquest process should be reformed...only once in its 34-year history has an inquest jury not found an officer's actions justified or excusable.

and does the Army usually release West Point graduates from their obligation 5-6 years early? Back in the mid-90's during the drawdown? Yes.

Someone needs to find out the identity of the Costco employee... So we can “make them famous”.

Valid point about his time served, caught my eye too. My son graduated from WP in “06” has served 4 yrs and has 4 more to go because he went to flight school.. I have heard of no one getting out early
But, early out, alone doesn’t prove erratic behavior.

True story: ROTC paid for part of my college and I had an obligation to serve in the late 1970's. Guess who was president then?
Most of the people in our class were offered a release if we'd just sign a paper. Those who remained would have to compete for a limited number of available positions. Considering the a**hat in charge, most of us opted to sign the paper.
This same procedure was repeated with people on active duty. Remember what happened to Forrest Gumpf?

Well, in all fairness, it is going to take about $60 of cable and software to integrate into my present system. So I'm probably spending close to the $100 low end as well.
But since I'm a mere citizen with an unlimited supply of money and Cosco is a big corporation who has to show a profit, I'll have to agree that spending $100 or more for a security camera is just too expensive when you can just call in the cops to shoot an inconvenient customer. After all, he was only a cracker. < / sarcasm >

I have heard of no one getting out early But this was in the mid-90's. Lots of folks were getting early outs. In the USAF, we had folks finish pilot training and then get out immediately.

You’re welcome. These later news articles are trying very hard to defend the police while smearing an innocent man. The earlier ones were a little different.

To me, it seems that wearing bullet proof vest would go hand in hand with carrying a concealed weapon. One without the other seems somewhat illogical. IMHO.

As tomorrow marks a week since it happened.
And STILL no videos of it from either Costco, the police, OR any bystander's cellphone cameras.

I agree that’s why I already said the cops should be tried for murder and the Costco employee as an accessory to murder.
To: driftdiver
Ive read that many of the gray camera globes in those stores do not have a camera in them. cameras are expensive Cameras are a lot less expensive than "slip and fall" lawsuits.
