True story: ROTC paid for part of my college and I had an obligation to serve in the late 1970's. Guess who was president then?

Most of the people in our class were offered a release if we'd just sign a paper. Those who remained would have to compete for a limited number of available positions. Considering the a**hat in charge, most of us opted to sign the paper.

This same procedure was repeated with people on active duty. Remember what happened to Forrest Gumpf?
