McCain Term 'Regularization' Draws Criticism from Opponent (McCain's "regularization" of illegals)
KSAZ-TV Fox 10 / KUTP-TV Fox 45 Phoenix, Ariz. ^ | 2010-07-16

Posted on 07/15/2010 11:39:33 PM PDT by rabscuttle385

PHOENIX - In the race for U.S. Senate, J.D. Hayworth is accusing John McCain of flip-flopping on the issue of illegal immigration.

Does McCain want border security or a path to citizenship for illegals -- or both? McCain once championed comprehensive immigration reform that would allow people here illegally a path to citizenship.

"The present situation with broken borders and 11 million people that are in America without citizenship is unacceptable," he said on the campaign trail.

Now McCain says border security must come first before tackling what to do with the 12 million illegals already living in the u.s..

Fox 10 News obtained a letter from McCain's office dated April 16 of this year.

In it McCain writes... "Let me be clear, I do not support amnesty. We can't reward lawbreakers, but we also have to deal with the reality of this enormous undocumented population."

The letter goes on to say... "We must provide these individuals with incentives to come forward, complete security background checks, pay any owed taxes and stiff penalties for breaking the law, learn to speak English, and regularize their status."

We asked McCain's office what the term "regularize" means. McCain's aide Brooke Buchanan says "regularize means follow the law."

McCain's primary opponent JD Hayworth thinks it means something else.

"Basically for all these years he's tried to use the poll-driven term comprehensive immigration reform. But now we have a new term in the McCain vocabulary -- regularization," says Hayworth.

Here's the problem, okay one problem, for the "Comprehensive Immigration Reformers", the illegals have no interest in becoming Americans. So, their entire house of cards is built on a fraud. They don't want to become Americans, they're not interested in citizenship, they don't want to learn English and assimilate into American society.

So, why do the "reformers" want to force this on the illegal invaders? Are the "reformers" simply delusional?

What a POS, as usual he's talking out both sides. This scumbag does not have one iota of honor left in him, which is what I told him after he and Bush trotted out the last "Amnesty Bill"...

After all the flip-flops and lies this guy has told, I still can't believe he has one defender left on this forum... but there's always the one or two token McCainiac's skulking around somewhere!

Please, please Arizona Republicans, do not nominate McCain. Repudiate the Maverick. He can not be trusted to be a conservative. McCain’s time is over.

I have a plan for immigration reform. How’s this, if you are here illegally, we will make you a “citizen”, however you and your offspring can’t vote for three generations. Also you can only recieve Federal Benefits that have been donated specifically for persons like yourself. Unless one is a democrat or a libtard of some other persuasion, then you will be taxed an additional 20% to fund the program that will monitor these activities. How many votes do you think that will get?

This sounds just like our Alaska Momma grizzy. She said we need to ‘register’ illegals. I think that means register them to vote, and for free Obama-care.

Security background checks for Illegals?? Anyone else see why this makes little sense? They are living in the shadows....as are their friends and associates. What kind of security check is practical?

And what back taxes are they going to pay? The Obama 'making work pay tax credit' that went to people that dont pay federal income taxes?

The use of the canard, regularize, regarding illegals has been around a while:

This kind of stuff is the reason we will not be able to think about a 2012 win.

The GOP, if they get control of the House and/or Senate, is too full of McCains.

RINOs are not conservatives. They will make deals that advance the left.

Yes, unlike many of her supporters - I actually take Sarah at her word. I think she REALLY does agree with John McCain's stance on this issue.

She does so many things right, but on this - she is SO wrong - and this is a BIG problem!

Hey idiot McCain, I respect your war record, but on this issue, your idiotic assertion of “regularization” is about as moronic as your insinuating that you were not for amnesty when we know that your progressive RINO arse was. =.=

As such, how about attach a voting prohibition for all illegals, say 5 years or so, to any idiotic talk of amnesty or “regularization,” kkthx.

“We asked McCain’s office what the term “regularize” means. McCain’s aide Brooke Buchanan says “regularize means follow the law.””

LOL!! Right....they have NEVER ‘followed the law’!
McCain is a LIAR.

McCain: “America is still the land of opportunity, we’re not going to erect barriers and fences.”

HELLO ARIZONA!!!! You’ve made us proud with your stand against the tyrannical Obama Administration and open borders and your willingness to enforce our immigration laws!

But you’re making the same mistake you’ve made for 24 years...you are believing lies.....
The never ending stream of lies from John McCain and his supporters.

Indeed, Sen. McCain has been on the stump in Arizona of late, telling everyone how he supports SB 1070, how he wants to ‘secure the border’ and is against ‘amnesty’.

HE IS LYING, again!!! Stop letting this man use you!

How SOON we forget! But you better remember HIS WORDS!

I have strongly favored us using all the technical equipment that our military has including satellites, including aircraft and other technical means. May, 2001
*McCain continues to be well, McCain, throwing out liberal lines to catch the unsuspecting. Here he promises to push the failed Kyoto treaty.

“I am committed as President to pursue the efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses immediately. That includes joining Kyoto as long as we have India and China involved. It would not be fair to the planet to say the two largest growing economies who are greenhouse gas emitters are not part of it.” April, 2010

*On the 2008 campaign trail: McCain had been asked how debate over the immigration bill was playing politically. “In the short term, it probably galvanizes our base,” he said. “In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics, you’ll pay a heavy price.” Then he added, unable to help himself, “By the way, I think the fence is least effective. But I’ll build the goddamned fence if they want it.”

* May 29, 2003 interview: McCain: “Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens.“

* Dec. 15, 2000 press release: McCain: ”I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA). Negotiations between the White House and the leadership, which endorsed more limited immigration reform, have resulted in a compromise.... this bill makes meaningful but insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it.“
Q: Should we change our Constitution to allow men like Mel Martinez, born in Cuba and Schwarzenegger, born in Austria, to stand here some night as candidates for president?

McCain attacked Proposition 106, an Arizona statewide referendum that was being advanced by the so-called English-only movement. McCain told the teachers, “Why would we want to pass some kind of initiative that a significant portion of our population considers an assault on their heritage?”
McCain was one of 10 members of congress who were honored by the National Council of La Raza, a nationwide coalition of Hispanic organizations. In a speech at a ceremony in Washington, before an audience of 500, McCain again attacked English-only initiatives. “The building of our great nation is not the work of immigrants from one or two countries, McCain said, ”Our nation and the English language have done quite well with Chinese spoken in California, German in Pennsylvania, Italian in New York, Swedish in Minnesota, and Spanish throughout the Southwest. I fail to see the cause for alarm now.“

*This may be the ONLY time John McCain told the truth.
John McCain 2008 Prez election: no amnesty for illegal aliens could lead to France-style riots

...The man wasn’t satisfied with McCain’s answer. He asked McCain why the U.S. couldn’t execute large-scale deportations, as he had heard they did in France and other countries. The question seemed to pique McCain.
“In case you hadn’t noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,” McCain said. “They’ve got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can’t even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don’t want that in the suburbs of America.
McCain, the “maverick,” has been in Congress for 28 years, or since winning his first election in 1982. He is no longer fighting the establishment; he is the establishment. He personifies the compromise wing of the Republican Party, which has since become the dominant wing.

He’s an EMBARRASSMENT!

“The thought of [John McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine”Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), also a senior member of the Appropriations panel, told the Boston Globe recently. “He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.” Washington Post

Show Horse 2. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

Hottest Temper 2. John McCain (R-Ariz.) known to snap at staff when the cameras are off
___________

And this....THIS bothers me the most. John McCain has no loyalty to Arizona or this nation. He is a globalist first.
