New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records--that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year--must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.
The obesity-rating regulation states that every American's electronic health record must: Calculate body mass index. Automatically calculate and display body mass index (BMI) based on a patients height and weight.
The law also requires that these electronic health records be available--with appropriate security measures--on a national exchange.

I have a family member who is not on welfare but is that same way....she never saw a $ she couldn’t spend or a doctors office she would pass by. Gobbles down a handful of pills everyday, and has had dozens of operations, all absolutely necessary, of course. Good thing she inherited a little bit of money (over a million dollars) but she’ll use it up within 10 years. Must be fun to be an almost- elderly narcissist.
IMPEACH!!!!!
White folk are exempt from this clause if they go to tanning salons. Hey, I’m not overweight whatsoever but THIS IS WAR.
Oh, that’s so much better. /sarcasm. Now we have frickin’ robots calculating our fat index. Nothing like Commiecare “personal touch”.
Same thing with me. If I sense that something is terribly wrong, I’ll go. The only doctor I see regularly is my dentist and eye doctor. Keeping one’s mouth and teeth healthy goes a long way in keeping the rest of the body healthy. Obama can kiss my slightly overweight white ass!
Wal Mart is only a mile away :O
Seriously though, sometimes it's pretty obvious isn't it?
When people lose loved ones because of rationed HealthControl, I think all bets will be off.
You may be right though.
ROFL!
My sentiments exactly.
FUBO!!
BMI calculated from height and weight is stupid and inaccurate. Im about 59 but pushing 200lbs because I work out and have muscle mass. That gives me a BMI of about 29. By their definition overweight, almost obese. Bwaa haa haa.
Kiss My White Fat Ass!!!,,,
Is that what the wanted ?...;0)
In a word.....NO!
Nope...it’s will be a “fat” tax....
Wonder how much we will have to pass under the examination table to get a “socially acceptable” weight entered into the fed database?
Our payments from daddy fed might depend on it, right?

BMI is really bad for athletes.
For example, Donald Driver, one of the leanest guys in the NFL, with somewhere around 5% body fat has a BMI of 26.3, well into the “overweight” category.
Ryan Braun, another pretty thin athlete has a BMI of 26.4.
Then there’s Prince Fielder and his BMI of 37.7. By these standards, Obama’s civilian defense force should be taking him to the special camp so he can diet.
I am a very sick person, and I have to take a lot of medication. The side effects to a few of these are weight gain. It’s often listed as the the first side effect. I’ve gained 30 pounds in three years. Dieting and exercise simply doesn’t work. I’m terried of Obama’s policies.
If it’s her money, it’s still very sad but at least she’s not bankrupting us. The people I know go to the doctor once, twice and sometimes three times a week, all on the taxpayer dime. One obese lady I know goes to the emergency room on average once a week. She pays nothing for it.
My head spins, just thinking about a system this out of control. If these people had to pay even a five dollar copay, they would moderate somewhat. As it is, all they can do is gripe about not getting even more tests and seeing even more specialists.
Walmart. That’s the store where you and I pay with our own money, and lots of other folks pay with those pieces of government plastic, right? Even our little community has its Muslim enclave, and I have never seen one go through the checkout without using a welfare debit card. It’s discouraging.
