A fire investigator with the Michigan State Police believes the car fire that killed a Blackman Township man today was not accidental.
Sgt. Ken Hersha said the cause which has not been determined is still under investigation.
It wasnt an accident, he said.

It appears that there was some sort of explosion and subsequent fire. It sounds like the man survived the explosion but was killed in the fire.
Would this be considered a hate crime?
Well I doubt the victim was feelin much love at the time.
Cooking meth or crack right there in the car?
What did this man do for a living?
Didn’t some state employee in Tennessee (?) who was selling visas to Arabs get killed in a car fire under mysterious circumstances about 5 yrs ago?
It may simply be a horrible accident (leaking brake fluid or something similar). But I’d suspect he pulled off because he sensed that something was wrong, couldn’t find the problem, and then when he started up to go back on the road, it was too late.
Several years back A couple of Detroit Muslims set fire to a storefront mosque in coldwater michigan. During their arson attempt, they apparently set themselves on fire.
Some 4 hours later they flagged down a cop in Jackson and gave him some story about two black men setting them on fire. Both lingered in the hospital for several days before dying.
I hadn’t thought about it but it is possible.
I read about a local meth head getting arrested for cooking meth in a gas station bathroom some months back.
I remember that story. The arsonists that couldn’t burn straight...
Looks like it may be a bizarre suicide. Apparently the guy was going to be arrested for child molesting.
