Anybody else hear about this? Just noticed it in my news reader and didn't see anything here yet.

I think he’s about at the place where a donor heart is needed.

"I think hes about at the place where a donor heart is needed." Do they give "donor hearts" to people that age? I think the cut-off age (generally speaking) for consideration is 60 or 65. I believe that there are some occasional transplants in patients in their late 60s, but Cheney is what 69 or 70. It may just not be an option for him.

He can have mine if he runs in 2012

It was reported on Fox Business. We need Darth Cheney to have a long life driving leftists mad. Next time, he needs the full body replacement like the Terminator.

I first saw the story on an NBC page and there is a very hateful comment made below the story. Course, the poster didn't use a name, it was posted by "anonymous". Guess it takes real guts to be a lefty.

If Cheney just got an LVAD, that would say he’s probably nearing the end of the line. The technology has improved greatly in the last few years, but still I’d say we’re looking at the endgame here.

The insertion of a left ventricular assist device would indicate that the patient is in very serious condition. The device is commonly used a as a temporary expedient before a heart transplant.
Let's hope and pray for the best for Mr. Cheney.

Please see my post # 19. There could be a heart transplant planned here.
