What do “liberal Christians” not understand about
thou shall not covet
and
thou shall not steal?
They aren't "liberal Christians."
They're "Christian liberals."
The freedom to become productive, and enjoy the rewards in this country is what should be praised, not some kind of right to take the rewards away from the productive. Biblically, it is the resposibility and choice of the producer to contribute to any such cause as he sees fit, not to have his money taken and put where someone else’s mouth is. Even the Lord wants a cheerful giver, not a compelled giver.
