I keep asking the question: in his 18+ months in office, what has Obama done that has directly benefitted you? Most can’t answer. Usually, I get the “be patient. It’s going to take a long time to undo the damage done by George Bush and the Republicans, blah, blah, blah” But in 18 months, surely there should have been at least some signs of improvement. Where are you seeing betterment of your life? Some of them will talk about Obamacare, which won’t take full effect for several years (except for the taxes which are already coming). But I never get one concrete, positive answer. Of course, the rest of us know the answer. Many of these true believers still won’t admit they were wrong. They still wait...and wait...and wait...

Your circle of friends must have streaks of ‘yellow dog’ in them.

In January of 2007 the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress. There is a perfect correlation between the Democratic control of Congress and the financial meltdown. Congress controls the budget and the Democrats control Congress. It's really quite simple, but the press carefully avoids the facts.

I keep asking the question: ... Where are you seeing betterment of your life?

I am not surprised by the lack of concrete answers to your question.

If you want to really have fun ask them exactly what was the damage done by George Bush and the Republicans. With the exception of a few stock spews perpetuated by the enemedia, I guarantee you will receive no concrete answers to that question as well.
